Today, increase in the discretionary leisure time and disposable income of the society has undoubtedly created tourism boom in many countries. As soon as tourism industry is measured as a fundamental factor in improving the economy, local governments and other corporations in a destination have shifted their focus towards creation of more tourism attractions in order to compete with related destinations on targeted markets. In the olden days, people who travelled with the leisure purpose would simply visit a destination that is famous for its tangible tourist attractions, which can be seen and touched. Examples of these attractions may be in the form of scenic sights such as the Seven Wonders like Eiffel Tower in Paris or the Great Wall of China, which catered to the tourism demand of a traveller. However, in the present day, as time changes, people tend to develop more innovative ways in indulging the leisure time in their lives. People are no longer encouraged to travel just to see man-made attractions, but in contrast, they prefer to travel to a host destination for experiencing certain distinctive events or festivals held by a country which can be defined as non-tangible attractions that give emotional and unique experiences to the visitors. This simply explains why many events can be found in almost every different destination in the world throughout the year. (Allen, Harris, McDonnell, & O’Toole, 2011).
Hall (1992) recognized that events have been one of the most significant highlights for the destinations all over the world in terms of the tourism context.
