1. Introduction In current surveys, as the range of surveys and the number of pollee have increased, the importance of the questionnaire has become increased much more. In 2009, there is one survey can express well. The survey was conducted by a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) is a questionnaire to assess diet consumed in people, and may be used as a research instrument. Examples of usages include assessment of intake of vitamins or toxins such as acrylamide. (Smedts HP, et al, 2009)
The questionnaire first pioneered by Sir Francis Galton. In particular, in “English Men of Science: Their Nature and Nurture”, it included the results of a questionnaire he used which asked the Royal Society about their political and religious affiliations. They also surveyed why they became interested in science and whether this interest was innate. Based upon this work, he first made result statically. (Galton, 1874)
In this report, I first examine various dimensions of questionnaire survey. Based upon this, I will develop the ways how to indeed questionnaire surveys and I will find the advantages of each forms of questionnaire surveys. Developed by this, I will introduce the ways to design the questionnaire. Finally, I discuss the ways of conducting surveys, and in accordance with this, I finalized within the conducting pilot surveys.
2. The merits of questionnaire survey.
Questionnaire-based surveys can play a role in the task of estimating the number of visits to leisure facilities and tourism destinations where visit numbers are not automatically gathered by administrative means. (Veal,2011) With the merits of questionnaire survey, many leisure and tourism research have been used this kind of survey. First, current leisure and tourism include mass phenomena, so questionnaire survey which is able to gather massive information is suitable for leisure and tourism.
