Traditional in-Class Course or Online Course
In our modern days, higher education is becoming more accessible as people are provided with different ways of learning. Along with the traditional classroom settings with a teacher, a distance-learning course through a computer is also an interesting option. In my opinion, taking online courses is more favorable.
Undeniably, a traditional course has its certain benefits. Teachers are available to answer the students’ questions right after each lecture. Also, for any problem unanswered yet, you can discuss with your classmates. Furthermore, a traditional classroom setting seems suitable for most people because not many computer skills are required. However, online courses have increasingly been chosen for many reasons.
One advantage of distance-learning courses is convenience. For people who are busy, those courses offer a flexible schedule. After finishing some simple steps of registration, you can access to the lectures at any time. Besides, all assignments are given and submitted via the Internet, so you are not required to attend classes every day. Consequently, you are able to decide the study timetable to match with your work schedule. For example, my sister wants to take a higher degree to improve her chance of getting promoted while managing to work eight hours a day. Therefore, an online course is convenient for her as she can study at night or on weekends.
Another advantage of taking online courses is it helps in personal development. There will be no teachers reminding you to focus on classes or finishing your assignments. Moreover, you have to review the lessons on your own. As a result, you have to manage your time wisely to accomplish all the exercises before the deadlines. Gradually, you will become more independent and self-discipline as well as your computer skills and time management will be enhanced.
Personally, distance-learning courses by computer are preferable because they are convenient and helpful in personal development. Although

The Quality of education does not always depend on the professor who is teaching a course, but on the will that the student has to learn. For some students, an online course is just as effective and as challenging as any physical course that can be taken. Although this may be true, there are both advantages and disadvantages to taking online courses. An online course may be convenient to students who have a family who they need to always be home with or someone who may even have a disability. An online class allows them to learn from their computers and not have to even leave their homes. An online course also allows both the school and student to both save money. An online course is not as expensive as a physical course, which saves the student money upon enrollment. The school will save money because instead of the students being in a physical classroom, they will be at home and the school will not have an increase in maintenance bills. A great disadvantage that an online course has is that there is never a professor there to monitor you doing your work, which allows you to cheat at any time. Because of this disadvantage, there are a lot of jobs who do not hold the weight of an online course equal to that of a physical course. In Conclusion, even though to some students an online course is just as challenging as a physical course, it still holds its advantages and disadvantages.…

Online courses use the same text and other academic materials as the traditional classroom. Although there is no "face to face" communication, there are other ways to communicate that is as effective. E-mails, text messages, classroom forums, and phone calls are the other options that are alternative to the "face to face" communication. Research that I did prove that accredited online courses is just as effective as traditional courses. The main advantage online courses have that is best for me is the flexibility. Since I work full time, I can do my assignments on my own time at my own pace. Online courses can be done anywhere I have my laptop or any computer access. Firstly, online courses are more accessible to the needs of students. With it they can combine study with a full-time career (Hoare 2003). Each student has different needs regarding their schedules, because in many cases (for example) they need to work, or already have a family. Without online learning people may otherwise not be able to study. But through this type of course they now have the opportunity to create their own curriculum, pace and timetable (‘Net effects’ 2004). Furthermore, some distance courses offer students access to information easier than in a university library (Hoare 2003). It is much more practical to have access to a broad scientific content online. This also shows, in most cases, increased facilities for student’s comprehension through more elaborate graphics and illustration offered by online teaching methods (‘Net effects’ 2004). Additionally, it is possible to delve into content through students selecting the hyperlink (‘Net effects’ 2004). It is therefore clear distance learning has more accessibility for all types of students because of its flexibility and facilities to search.…
