Reporting that on Wednesday 19th September 2012 about 12:15pm I investigated a traffic accident that occurred along Hagley Park Road in the vicinity of Woodglen Avenue involving a white Honda Civic motor car registered 1111DD, owned and driven by Peter Brown age 26 years old D.O.B 15.4.86, Business man of Portmore address and a pedal cyclist name James Wright.
Facts Are that about 12 noon Mr. Brown; the driver of the white Honda Civic, whilst transporting goods from his home in Portmore to his business place in Half Way tree approached the stop light on Hagley Park Road in the vicinity of Woodglen Avenue, he observed that the light was on green and proceeded through about mid-way through the traffic light Mr. Wright; the pedal cyclist rode out off Woodlen Avenue onto Hagley Park road in front of the car that he was driving and before he could apply the brakes the vehicle hit him, he lost control of the vehicle and the tires hit the curb wall and his head knock against the steering wheel the two front tires went flat upon the impact.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the white Honda civic received a slight injury to his head as it hit the steering wheel due to the impact, whilst James wright was unconscious lying in the road with blood coming from his mouth and nose. Checks were made for signs of life but there was none. Control was notified and a request of an ambulance to take the pedal cyclist to the Kingston public hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
