TRAFFIC PROBLEMS
Traffic is one of the major concerns for the city hall. They remodel streets and roads to help avoid traffic. It is one of the things that contaminates the cities, not only with the use of gas but also acoustically with the claxon when people get anxious. Traffic is form by cars, which is the first choice for some people. Traffic is the flux or passage of motorized vehicles, un motorized vehicles, and pedestrians on roads; or the commercial transport and exchange of goods; or the movement of passengers or people.
Traffic on roads may consist of pedestrians, ridden or herded animals, vehicles, streetcars and other conveyances, either singly or together, while using the public way for purposes of travel. Traffic laws are the laws which govern traffic and regulate vehicles, while rules of the road are both the laws and the informal rules that may have developed over time to facilitate the orderly and timely flow of traffic.
Organized traffic generally has well-established priorities, lanes, right-of-way, and traffic control at intersections.
Traffic is formally organized in many jurisdictions, with marked lanes, junctions, intersections, interchanges, traffic signals, or signs. Traffic is often classified by type: heavy motor vehicle (e.g., car, truck); other vehicle (e.g., moped, bicycle); and pedestrian. Organization typically produces a better combination of travel safety and efficiency. Events which disrupt the flow and may cause traffic to degenerate into a disorganized mess include: road construction, collisions and debris in the roadway. On particularly busy freeways, a minor disruption may persist in a phenomenon known as traffic waves. A complete breakdown of organization may result in traffic jams and gridlock. Simulations of organized traffic frequently involve queuing theory, stochastic processes and equations of mathematical physics applied to traffic flow. Rules of the road are the general practices and procedures that road users are required to follow. These rules usually apply to all road users, though they are of special importance... In modern life we have to face with many problems one of which is traffic congestion becoming more serious day after day. It is said that the high volume of vehicles, the inadequate infrastructure and the irrational distribution of the development are main reasons for increasing traffic jam
The major cause leading to traffic congestion is the high number of vehicle which was caused by the population and the development of economy. To solve this problem, the government should encourage people to use public transport or vehicles with small size such as bicycles or make tax on private vehicles. Particularly, in some Asia countries such as Viet Nam, the local authorities passed law restricting to the number of vehicles for each family. The methods mentioned above is indeed effective in fact.
That the inadequate infrastructure cannot handle the issue of traffic is also a crucial reason. The public transport such as bus, subway or train is not available and its quality is is incapable of meeting the requirement of increasing number of vehicle. Coping with these difficulties, the government should make an investment in the traffic facilities, namely, the public transport need improving to become more modern and convenient. In addition, it is useful to build overpasses and more lanes in the streets.
Apparently, the irrational distribution and the lack of conscience make the traffic worse and worse. The head offices, the universities or hospitals often locate in the centre of city attracting a heavy flow of people in rush hour. To handle this situation, the government should allocate suitably , for instance some university or office will be moved to the outskirt of city. It is necessary to encourage people obey the traffic rules which will make greatly change the problem of traffic.
Finally, it's high time we were aware of the disadvantages as well as the solutions to the traffic congestion. With great effort from each individualist and government, our society will be definitely cleaner and well – organized

The relationship between people and traffic is down to how people behave on the roads they use and how they deal with the rules associated with this, as well as accepting that others need to use the same space whether this is at the same time or separately. Traffic is viewed in Buchanan's report as an agent because it has an active role in shaping the way people live, how space is designed and how people interact with each other and with their environment. To do that plan, some rules of conduct and fundamental principles for modern town planning came up. Le Corbusier classified population into three divisions including citizen proper, suburban dwellers, and mixed sort. The main reason for this division was to attack the most important problem in town planning. Le Corbusier also gave the ideas that “we must increase the density of the centers of our cities, where business affairs are carried on” . “We also must increase the open spaces and diminish the distances to be covered because the open spaces are the lungs of a city” . Beside the density of population, lungs and street, traffic also is talked about in this planning. When the traffic is not classified, it does not fulfill its function, so we classified traffic in three different kinds including heavy good traffic, lighter good traffic, and fast traffic. These three kinds of traffic also needed three different kinds of road such as below-ground roads for heavy traffic, ground floor level of the buildings for lighter traffic and arterial roads for fast one-way traffic. There is only one station located in the center of the city. In addition, basic principles for plan of the city are to decongest the center of our cities, augment their density,…

There are certain rules that have been prepared for the benefit of people and the idea of preparing these rules is not that they should be understood by the drivers, but it should also be understood through the cyclists, pedestrians and other people. People are recommended that they should be carefully observing all the rules and regulation and it is effectual to be careful, considerate and patient. Traffic rules of the roads are both the laws and the informal rules that may have been developed over time to facilitate the orderly and timely flow of traffic. With the replacement of ancient horse driven carts with cars and trucks, the speed of the traffic increased paving way for the need of smooth roads and yet smoother traffic. So, to curb the need of the smoother traffic, some rules were devised to assure that the traffic runs smooth. A traffic study consists of a comprehensive investigation of existing physical and operating conditions. Analysis of the study data provides insight into possible remedial measures, if any. Remedial measures may include various traffic control measures, such as speed zoning, channelization, signing, traffic signals, safety lighting, or a combination of these. Engineers often use counts of number of vehicles or Pedestrians passing a point, entering an intersection, or Using a particular facility such as travel lane, crosswalk Or sidewalk. Counts are usually samples of actual volumes, although continuous counting is also sometimes performed. Sampling periods may range from a few minutes to a month or more. The measurement of traffic volumes is one of the most basic functions of highway planning and management. Traffic volume counts provide the most commonly employed measure of roadway usage and are needed for the majority of traffic engineering analyses. While a number of traffic volume statistics are used in traffic engineering analyses, two are of primary interest for the design of a statewide traffic monitoring program: annual average daily traffic (AADT) and average daily vehicle distance traveled (DVDT).…
