Trailer Limitless, Directed By Neil Burger
In the 2011 Movie Trailer Limitless directed by Neil Burger, Eddie Morra, played by Bradley Cooper, is given a translucent pill that lets him access more than just 20% of his brain; all of it actually. Consequently, he’s able to focus on tasks and work at a highly efficient rate that a human has never before been able to do. The trailer, and movie as a whole, seemed to correlate to the course theme of work and leisure because it presents a style of work that essentially changes his whole lifestyle including his work, leisure, and himself as a person. The movie trailer for Limitless helps illustrate that increasing efficiency has limitless opportunities in any field that one pursues, and it may jumpstart a way to do so with the future of central nervous system stimulants. Efficiency in work increases leisure time and the overall quality of life as a whole. This can be seen either as a person working hard in order to retire or even companies like amazon or other logistics based companies that improve shipping time and allow people to get things done quickly and improve their customers lives. In the movie, Eddie goes from moping around in the city not writing his book, to enjoying the luxurious lifestyle of the plane, high rise apartment, and beach house after finishing a book and then getting …show more content…
However being a dystopian society, the downside of the pill was that people were coerced into taking it and it replaced human emotion which wouldn’t be the case in a democratic government like the United States with all the freedoms it brings. If there is a possibility of widespread usage and consumption of a drug like this as completely optional, it might just be able to help increase the work in individuals who want to take it and won’t lose any of their free

Everyone--whether pro-life or pro-choice--can agree that this is a positive outcome.” (Frantz) Frantz feels that the accessibility should be broadened even further to teens under eighteen years, because they’re the ones who really need it.
