So, did the moon landings take place? Of course they did, would the U.S government embezzle millions of the tax payer’s dollars? In fact don’t answer that.
Well let’s get the ball rolling. Firstly we know that the Soviet Union was monitoring the Apollo missions from the moment they took off until the waves had calmed from the command module splash down. The Russians had high powered radar stations which were used to track the Apollo missions on their voyage to the moon. What does this tell us? The Russians were fully aware the moon landings were taking place. Just to give Russia her full credit in proving the moon landings were real, we also know the Soviets could track the source of the television broadcast of the landings. And what did they find? What a surprise, the signal originated from the lunar surface. There’s no doubt in my mind nor anyone else’s for that matter that if the Russians had found even a glimmer of doubt in the moon landings authenticity they would have been the first to let the cat out of the bag, I mean at the time of the Apollo missions the U.S and Russia were on the brink of nuclear war.
However there are quite a few points to suggest the landings were rigged. For example rocks found in Antarctica are identical to those supposedly taken from the lunar surface. So all N.A.S.A really achieved was an expedition to the South Pole. The fact these rocks are identical can be explained by an age old theory. Earth has a tilted axis of twenty three degrees which tells us something quite significant. The earth was impacted by another planet of near equal size. The planet which hit us was all but destroyed some of its debris became scattered on the earth’s surface. Some large debris became caught in the earth’s gravity and formed the moon. This then tears apart the dummy rocks theory and backs up what is surely the truth.
Thirdly the Apollo missions were not just for the purpose of hopping about on another world or to drive a tin foil buggy. There were lots of scientific experiments carried out as well, for example the retro reflective mirrors left by Apollo fourteen. These mirrors are used to gather data about the moon’s orbit pattern and its distance from earth. For such calculations to be accurate they had to be placed by hand or to be more exact Alan Sheppard’s hand. Not even the most articulated robot from current times could place the mirrors accurately enough. These mirrors are still used today despite the fact they have been feeding us information about the moon long after man left her barren dusty surface.
Now though we come to the daddy of all the Apollo myths; “the fluttering flag.” So what caused the flag to flutter? In all honesty there is no way to be sure what caused it, perhaps a faulty valve in one of the lunar modules control rockets allowed some compressed gas to escape and blow the flag a little. However there’s one alleged cause which I, along with many others can rule out nearly entirely: the flag was not fluttered by some air conditioner in a studio where the landings were supposedly rigged. How do we know this? Well for starters there is one thing that was well known about the moon long before man stepped on her surface, there is no atmosphere on the moon and so there can be no wind. So let’s for a minute just assume the landings were rigged and filmed in a studio in Hollywood. What would they take into consideration about faking something as serious as this? How about the fact they would have to simulate a vacuum environment so the definitely would not be so stupid as to put an air conditioner on set or let in some sort of breeze. Let’s temporarily assume the people who filmed it were complete idiots, the film would have been checked and checked over and over for continuity errors there is no way something as big as the flag fluttering would slip through the cracks.
In the late nineteen sixties and early seventies the technology did not exist to create a vacuum chamber the size of which would have been needed to fake the Apollo landings. So if we go by the conspiracy theories that the landings were filmed in a studio how was it possible to effectively conduct the “feather and the hammer” experiment on camera. For the feather to fall at the same rate as the hammer a complete vacuum would be required with such technology not being available at the time the only suitable location for this experiment would have been the moon, or mars take your pick.
In my opinion there is no doubt that man has walked on the moon there is simply too much evidence to ignore. The Russians would have found out very easily if the moon landings were faked but the Russian’s said nothing: because there is nothing to be said. The fact the moon rocks match those found in Antarctica prove the theory about the moon’s creation. There has been far too much scientific data collected for the landings to have been faked. In reality after reading this if anyone still believes that the moon landings were faked then there is truly nothing to convince them short of shoving them on a rocket with a one way ticket to tranquility base.

Many proofs of the landing have been released to the public. For example, there is one piece of evidence that is impossible to have been from Earth. A .6mm glass spherule produced by a meteorite impacting onto the lunar soil. Dr. Marc Norman explains, "We've found a particle of fresh glass in moon rocks that were produced by explosive volcanic activity and by meteorite impacts over 3 billion years ago." In basic terms, this specific particle could have only been produced on the moon here on Earth water rapidly breaks down such volcanic glass in only a few million years. Which leads theorists to question themselves if it really indeed happened. But an open investigation is supported by people overseas too. Vladimir Markin, the spokesman for Russia's investigative Committee, penned a column for the Russian newspaper Izvestia focusing on the US FIFA corruption investigations. The list of investigations included the Apollo mission that everyone is debating about. Markin Cites the loss of the original Apollo 11 moon landing video and the “disappearance” of 400 kilograms of lunar rocks collected during Apollo missions. How can 400 kilograms of lunar rocks just disappear lunar rocks are not things you just…

But to the reluctance of the government to address the claims of extraterrestrial activity, the conspiracy theories grew popular through the 1950s to the present. A poll showed that 57% of U.S. citizens believe that UFOs are real, therefore, beliefs in UFOs will not quickly dissipate. But recent evidence and personal accounts provide logical arguments with support to show that the claims of extraterrestrial interactions with the U.S. government in Area 51 is not true. Rather the lights and unidentified flying objects reported by people near Groom Lake were prototype aircraft that were being designed to aid the U.S. in the Cold War against the Soviet Union. The reports of UFOs only happened after the testing of experimental aircraft throughout the 1950s and 1960s, thus the correlation between the testing of the prototype planes and reports of UFOs verify that it was the aircraft tested by the U.S., not aliens flying over Area 51. The testimony by Robert Lazar is contested by retired service members who worked in Area 51 and Lazar’s questionable credibility. While there is no proof to support the conspiracy theories surrounding Area 51, people still believe and argue that the government has fabricated stories and that aliens do exist. But with no tangible…

His famous words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind!” were heard by over half a billion people and ultimately left a significant mark on the world, even today. Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins were the other two on the Apollo 11 mission with Armstrong. Aldrin was the Lunar Module Pilot, and Collins was the Command Module Pilot. Armstrong and Aldrin planted an American Flag on the moon, collected rocks, took photos, and received a phone call from President Richard Nixon (Rinard 84). Collins never actually touched foot on the moon; however, he separated Columbia, the command module unit, from the Eagle, the lunar module unit (84). Be that as it may, it was President John F. Kennedy’s commitment to the idea that America would advance further than the Soviets in the space race by putting humans on the moon that reclaimed the Apollo Program’s destiny. Kennedy understood the more broad allure of manned spaceflight, and the positive transformation it would have on the U.S. if it was carried out correctly. As his Vice President and successor, Lyndon B. Johnson was a strong believer in the importance of space and its contribution to America’s image in the world just as John F. Kennedy believed (Compton 64). Even before JFK and Johnson, President Dwight D. Eisenhower pushed the program into motion when he signed the National Aeronautics and Space Act in 1958, which granted permission to provide research into flight within and outside the atmosphere. President Richard Nixon was in office at the time of the first manned lunar landing on July 20, 1969 at 10:56 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time when Neil Armstrong descended from the Eagle and set foot on the moon’s surface, actualizing JFK’s…

Only few days after Woodstock was the landing of Apollo 11 on the moon, this was of course went down as one of the most victorious days in American history, and a couple days prior to that was the murders of the Manson family. It is easily said that landing on the moon was one of the greatest accomplishments for America. This event is right at the top of the list with events such as The Civil Rights Act of 1964, Obama becoming presedent in 2009, and the Emancipation proclamation of 1863. By the end of 1962, both countries had shown that they had the capabilities to reach outside of Earth’s atmosphere. However, the U.S. was still behind the Soviets in technological capabilities. John F. Kennedy, the president during the Space Race, promised America and the world that we would put a man on the moon before the end of the decade. This prediction was considered bold to many people considering that the U.S. only put a man into space just a year earlier. Following JFK’s announcement, NASA introduced the Apollo missions. These government…
