Notable muckrakers Jane Addams and Jacob Riis showed determination towards there being a change; each made sure to use their abilities to aid in not only a social way, but ask economically and politically, even to this day what they've done has made a massive impact.…

The book The Big Four derives from a project headed by the author, S. Joseph Kidder along with a small group of graduate research assistants. Their intent in the four year project was to try to find out why some Adventist churches are growing and why some other churches are not growing. They discovered four major factors that were linked to church growth in the North American Division (NAD): empowering servant leadership, passionate and authentic spirituality, committed and active laity, and God exalting worship. These are the big four; there is a section in the book dedicated to explaining each of these dynamics. This report is dealing with the first two sections dealing with the biblical foundation of Church health and growth and empowering servant leadership.…

Robert M. Franklin in his adoring and avid book Crisis in the Village presents in first-person advice and constructive criticism as he identifies issues within the African-American church. Black churches face a "mission crisis" as they struggle to serve their upwardly mobile and/or established middle class "paying customers" alongside the poorest of the poor. Dr. Franklin wrote this controversial book with great scholarship as a means to awakening the state of Black American; however the question of the missions of the black church have been discussed, debated, and denied by theologians for years.…

Amelia Earhart became an aviator and she gave others hope for the chances of air travel. When she realized that she loved aviation, she didn’t let anything stop her from achieving her dreams. She created, innovated, and illuminated in an enormous way. She followed her own noble words when she said, “The most effective way to do it, is to do it” and she also followed her own words when she said, “Women, like men, should try to do the impossible. And when they fail, their failure should be a challenge to others” (http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/a/amelia_earhart.html).…

In Ethics, The Heart of Leadership, Michael Keeley argues against transformational leadership. He believes that the only to prevent harm done to the minorities by the majorities is “to keep majorities from uniting around a common interest – the reverse of what transformational leaders are supposed to do” (Ethics, 124). In general, I agree with Keeley. He attributes this idea to James Madison, although other scholars have disagreed about Madison’s true options. I will not enter the dispute about Madison’s ideas and opinions; that would be an exercise in history. Rather, I will discuss the content of the argument: whether transformational leadership harms minorities. Other issues, such as the effectiveness of transformational leadership and other ethical implications of the leadership types are beyond the scope of this paper and will not be discussed.…

    My Theology Paper

In this paper, I am going to share my ideas of theology. I believe that one of the biggest mistakes I made in the past was that I was afraid of being rejected, so I wrote a theology paper and tried to give the previous COM what I thought they wanted to hear instead of what was truly inside of me. Fortunately for me, even though I was not given a green light in order to see the Eccleastical Council, I was licensed to preach and this gave me time to wrestle with my theology and helped me to see where I stood on these very important areas of Christian faith.…
