The parents of their youth don’t want their child to feel like whom they are is bad and that they will never be able to fit in.
One story was when last year an eight-year-old transgender Boy Scout in New Jersey was kicked out of his troop. Joe Maldonado was born a girl. He said that “I’m way more angry than sad. My identity is a boy. If I was them I would let every person in the world go in. It’s right to do.”

Scouting today has found new ways to make the program better for everyone both parents and scouts alike. People have made decide that bringing another group of scouts into the program will make those who look at the program as a one sided activity see that it is quit not what it seems.
In fact one member of the BSA board Chief Scout Executive Michael Surbaugh was quoted saying “Communities and state laws are now interpreting gender identity differently than society did in the past and these new laws vary widely from state to state. Starting today we will accept registration in our Scouting programs based on the gender identity provided on an individual's application.
