2. How old were you when you realized that you would feel better as a man? I have never felt like a girl.
3. What makes you feel that way? I don't know why I am like this, obviously my brain and body aren't n'sync interesting when I had my hormone levels checked, I found out that I have a very abnormally high amount of testosterone naturally everyone has both estrogen and testosteron in their system but women normally have at least three quarters of their chemical balance as estrogen and men vice versa
4. Are you gay as well as transgendered?
I am gay. I like other gay men.
5. If so how old were you when you knew you were gay, assuming that you are? Actually I came to terms with being a gay man …show more content…
recently I still find women attractive, mostly because I find them to be a mystery, I've never understood femininity ie Terry Hatcher and Juila Deryfus
(elain on seinfeld) I find really hot otherwise I like men who are around my height like 5' 4'' and the kind of gay men who don't like fashion, the kind that will listen to Slayer with me- I haven't really found anyone but I prefer hooking up at the bar and not even knowing their name over a relationship 6.
What steps have you taken in the direction of changing your gender ? Everything is pretty much set in motion, I just need my family behind me on this or I need to be able to support myself I will start hormones this year and have chest reconstructive surgery after the semester is over
7. How far will you go? Hormones and chest surgery is good enough, I m not thinking beyond that right now, options for lower surgery aren't great goggle "medioplasty" or "phalloplasty" if you have the stomach for it I'd personally go for the medioplasty just to have outer genitals but that still costs a lot and it's not that great, maybe they'll have something better by the time it's reasonable for …show more content…
me
8.
How has your choice affected your relationships? I've always been a loner. Have some cool friends and that's enough don't want a romantic relationship I think that's all crap
9. With family? With peers ? Family is tough and so our peers you get the idea if you read the discussion
10. How has it affected you mentally? I'm stronger mentally in some ways I got some nice callouses emotional shit That bothers other people doesn't touch me- so I feel sorry for other people sometimes that they get caught up in senseless stuff like trying to fit in and not being themselves in order to fit in also I feel like I have a great perspective on life don't get me wrong, I like who I am and I'd never want to be anyone else a lot of people misinterpret me and think that I want to become something else 11. What coping skills have you had to develop to deal with the intolerance you have faced. LIFE IS MY RIDE. That's it. 12. what is your support system? Me, my will, my life my time, MY RIDE.
13. If someone came to you for advice about pursuing gender modification what advice would you offer them? Thank you for using the word "modification" that's awesome. My advice is, anyone pursuing such a goal really wants it because
no one would put themselves through it otherwise so don't be impatient, work hard and don't let anything get you down, the shit you put up with can make you stronger if you let it don't try to kill yourself, don't punch stuff and break your hands numerous times and don't break your back over lifting weight if you are an FTM, like I did and Im still hurting from an injury I got in October you'll get there if you want it and if your stronger than letting it destroy you.
14. How has your life been easier or harder based on the decision you have made? Life is hard for anyone, I just want to be comfortable and do my thing and enjoy MY RIDE. (I like that analogy)
