With the economy booming, travel has made its way into ordinary families as a superior choice of entertainment. It is superior for not merely can it delight our heart but also it will certainly broaden our mind by the scene that appeal our eyes, by the people we meet during the journey.
World is far from what we see on a screen, that’s why we take on a journey. You may stay your sight on the picture showing the Scandinavian fjord, but you will not feel its wild, until you take camp and row a boat there. Then you will know the wild of the earth. You may indulge your mind into the video that introduce Provence, but you will never feel such kind of ease life, until you sit there for a whole afternoon enjoying your hot tea and the sunshine. Then you start to reflect what is live? You may come across an article that telling the history of the Great Wall, but you will never feel shocked of its grandness until you stand on it and touch the block with your fingers. Then you come to realize how great human beings is. It is through these visible, sniffable, audible and touchable way that the travel broadens our mind.
It is not always the scenery, but the people, that meet us first on a travel. Times by times we chat with the neighbors on the long-distance trains to different places. We talk about the destination and motivation for this journey; we share stories on each other; we share present live of each other; we share the dreams of each other. Then we become friends. They may all only pass once in your life time. But the journeys vary, the trains vary, the people varies and so do their stories, their lives and their dreams. In such process, we observe different attitudes towards life from which we may reflect on that of us. Then we know better of the life. And it is through these people as well as their stories that the travel broadens our mind.
Diverse as our world is, let the travel broaden our mind.

An imaginative journey can be defined as an extension of reality that transcends physical barriers. Through the use of abstract notions and an element of surrealism, an imaginative journey can result in distortion of the boundaries between imagination and reality. This type of journey involves readers by drawing on their imagination and can therefore result in the transformation of perceptions and attitudes, which may also stimulate a sense of enlightenment for both the characters and the responder. These characteristics are evident in the three texts I have studied, “The Tempest” by William Shakespeare, Victor Fleming’s, “The Wizard of Oz” and “Sky High” by Hannah Robert.…

You know how beautiful things are when you're traveling.” It was this quote I found while reading about one of my favorite artists, Edward Hopper. I have been to his showcase at the Walker Arts Center three times this summer, each time admiring his sketches, they were raw and true and his paintings looked like day dreams. it was the reminiscent quality that I adored about his work. It's as if he had painted the scenes through the eye of his memory. It brought me back to that time and place of the world, the way he experienced it. It's his work that got me inspired to travel this summer, I wanted to have my own scenes. Although I love art, it was a different love that inspired me to see the world. I am fascinated with Biology: the study of all living organisms. I love to go to each part of the world and see how the vegetation grows and evolved from unique environmental factors, the how animals look , and people express themselves through different cultures - all relating back to biology. This curiosity has led me to some of the most electric cities in the world, NYC, Paris, Chicago, Brussels, Atlanta, Montreal, Tel Aviv, Quebec and of course,…
