you can send a message to someone and they can respond at his or her convenience. It also provides a different way to communicate if you have something just quick and short to say. A few personal trends are iPods, laptops, and Xbox.
Music is a very popular thing and can be very important to people. Sometimes, it helps set the moods of people, brings back fond memories, and occasionally talks about something someone can relate to. iPods are very popular because they allow people to store hundreds of different songs on such a small device and are convenient to carry around. They also allow for the opportunity to hook up to your car or home stereo system. Laptops are becoming more popular because it allows for students to do their homework on a computer and store it, but also take it to and from school. Many employees have laptops as well, so they can take their computer with them in the instance of working in office, working from home, or traveling. Xbox and other gaming systems are trendy because they provide hours of
entertainment. Some religious trends in American culture are religious diversity and stepping away from the mainstream religion and going towards non denominational, less judgmental, and more socially accepting religions. Many religions believe that bisexual people are "bad" and women are inferior to men (by this I mean women are not aloud to hold priesthood, etc.). The morals of today are changing and women are fighting to be allowed to do anything or play any role a man is capable of. People are becoming more open with sexuality and more accepting of bisexual people. Also, many religions deny evolution; however, scientific advancement and space exploration raise more and more questions. Political trends include, but are not limited to, general social dissatisfaction. They feel like they were mislead into war with Iraq and that Republicans are no longer trustworthy. Americans were lied to about the number of fatalities from the war, the use of weapons of mass destruction, and the errant missiles. The errant missiles were hitting hospitals and housing units but then the Americans were lied to about that. In conclusion, everyone follows one trend or another, depending on the location they live in, his or her morals and beliefs, or the level of income he or she has. Trends change through out time, but there will always be trends people follow whether it is social, personal, religious, or political.
