Trigonometry Lab Report
To start the experiment, weigh the mass of the cart with the picket fence and record the mass on an excel worksheet. The combined weight of the cart and the picket fence will be referred to as M. After weighing the cart with the picket fence, assemble the dynamic track by installing the photogate at an appropriate position. Additionally, install the pulley at the applicable end of the dynamic track. Next, hook up the inextensible string to the end of the cart. The attached string should be facing the photogate and the pulley. After attaching one end of the string to the cart, attach the hanging mass to the other end of the string. The hanging mass without any slotted masses should have a weight of 50 grams. The mass of the hanging mass will …show more content…
In this equation, g represent gravity which has the value of 980 cm/s^2. After calculating the acceleration, the photogate can be used to find the experimental acceleration. To do this, turn on the smart timer and press the red touchpad key. Press the red touchpad key until acceleration is selected. Furthermore, press the blue key to select one gate, and the black one to establish readiness. After the appropriate settings have been selected on the smart timer, Adjust the position of the photogate so that the cart passes through it before the hanging mass hits the floor. Additionally, make sure the photogate’s laser penetrates the 5cm side of the picket fence. The picket fence can be flipped and adjusted accordingly. After the picket fence have been flipped to the correct side, the trials can begin. Let go of the cart at an appropriate distant on the dynamic track, and stop it once it has run through the photogate. The smart timer should display the acceleration. After the smart timer displayed the acceleration, record the acceleration on an excel worksheet. Repeat this step ten more times to obtain ten acceleration values. For each trial, change the position of the photogate but still ensuring that the cart passes through it before the hanging mass hits the floor. Record all ten accelerations and create a table on the excel program. One column will represent the 10 trials, and the other column will represent each

    The homogenates provided were made by homogenizing tissues in a sucrose phosphate buffer in a 1:20 ratio. The protein concentration in bovine cells was measured by diluting the homogenate with a 1:5 ratio; 50 microliters of homogenate and 200 microliters of water. Then 5 known protein concentration samples which were 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, 1.6, 2.0 mg/ml of bovine serum were used to determine absorbance with a spectrophotometer. Two additional samples were made; one was blank and the other was for the specific homogenate sample. Then 3 microliters of bradford assay reagent, which indicates the amount of protein present by color, was added to all samples. The spectrophotometer was zeroed at 595 nm. A standard curve was made with the different absorbencies and concentrations. After the linear equation was formed, the unknown sample concentration was determined using the standard curve equation. A Gel Electrophoresis was used to perform a qualitative analysis. The use of 5 microliters of the homogenate was heated to 80 degrees Celsius.     The cold pressor test is done by having the subject submerge their hands in a bucket of cold water to determine cardiovascular changes such as blood pressure and heart rate.
