Trip to Australia
After a long monotonous school schedule and unbearable heat of summers, I was looking forward to a big day for every student that is the day our summer vacations start. My summer vacations started from 10th May the last day of school, it was exciting as I have been discussing about the holidays plan with my friends and lots of plans were already running in my mind and almost occupied the major portion of my mind. The very next day I started discussing plans with my parents but no sooner I realized that I have my vacations but not my father as he still has his office work but seeing my excitement he finally planned a holiday to Australia. I was very excited about this holiday, as I have been seeing such a fascinating place like Australia either in movies or on Discovery channel. The moment I thought about Australia I had an image of miles and miles of lush green lands, Kangaroos and beaches but Australia is much more then what I was thinking.

After packing all the stuff we left for New Delhi, I was being accompanied by my elder brother, mother and my father. We boarded our flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport New Delhi on 9th June at 8:30 in the morning and reached Australia on 10th June at 12:30 in the noon. We received a warm welcome from our tourist company representative and went to our hotel after checking in the hotel we all took a long sleep as we had hectic schedule for the next day. After a long sleep we all were feeling very refreshing then we left for Jet Boating it was a thrilling experience then we went for World wide famous Sydney Stadium, which was built in 1908 and then we went for Sydney Harbor Bridge which is a steel through arch bridge which connects Sydney central business district and North Shore after a long tiring day we got back to hotel for the dinner and a sound sleep. The next morning we went for Sea Plane, which is capable of landing on water, I have been seeing this in Movies several times and now we all

Australia has numerous regional and global links; these links include sports, culture, tourism, migration, aid and communication. Australia is a continent which is strongly engaged with the rest of the world and not only because so many of its people originate from so many parts of the world but also because of its longstanding relationships with the USA and the UK and their more recent links with the countries in the Asia Pacific. It is imperative that Australia establishes and maintains these links to ensure the stability, security and prosperity of Australia.…

Good evening, thank you for inviting me here this evening. I would like to discuss how Carmel Bird’s non-fiction book The Stolen Children-Their Stories (TSC) and Oodgeroo Noonuccal’s poem, “We are going” (WAG) gives us an understanding of how Australian voices reflect Australian values. Both texts explore the unfair treatment and effects of suffering inflicted upon Aboriginal communities and individuals by past government’s policies, as well as western society’s disrespect and ignorance. By analysing the texts, we learn about the values of egalitarianism from the perspectives of both indigenous people and the government. Egalitarianism means a fair go for all people where everyone is equal in fundamental worth and status. Getting this kind of insight into social and political issues of assimilation changes the view on problems of equality in this country. It reveals we should have sense of responsibility towards Aboriginal people and provide justice for their suffering.…

Australia is a very unique place, along with our multiculturalism there is also a strong heritage surrounding us. At first thought of Australian heritage we think about such landmarks as Uluru, The Sydney harbour bridge and The Sydney opera house, The Great Barrier reef and other internationally recognised places. But our heritage goes much deeper than that; it is far more than outstanding icons. Along with these icons there are also unsung places like the old cattle stations, Aboriginal missions, migrant hostels, War memorials, our unique wetlands and the towns and cities we have built. Adding all of these things together, helps to tell the story of who we are and how we have shaped this land in the…

There are many aspects of ‘what it means to be Australian’. Each one of us could describe ourselves with multiple different identities. The variety of identities as a nation is what unites us all as a country. Mateship with an easy going attitude , the way we recognise multiculturalism, the Australian way of life and the physical aspects of Australia in general are the main identities in to which Australians are described.…

Throughout the main land and Torres Strait, there existnumerousindigenouspopulations among Australia. According tothe data from Australia Bureau of Statistics, Ross (1996) points out that the exact number of indigenous people is not sure because the definition of ‘indigenous Australian’ is not quite certain in the history.Meanwhile, it is largely accepted (Sofield 2002) that the indigenous Australians contain approximately 2% of the total number of Australia population, which is about more than 430,000 in number. Most of the indigenous Australians are now living in remote areas such as national parks. With the natural benefits, one of the mainly commercial activities among them is the tourism or ecotourism in their homeland. They can gain a lot of opportunities in terms ofthe improvement of their economicand commercial development (Fuller et al. 2007). However, Dyer, Aberdeen& Schuler(2002) find out that ecotourism has more negative effects than the profits. This result has also been found by more researchers such as Fuller et al. (2007), Buultjens, Gale,&White, (2010).Thus, the disadvantages of ecotourism are much bigger than the advantages. This paper will find out to what extent the benefits can help the indigenes as well as how bad the negative effects will generate to the communities.…

Last October 2012 is our semestrial break. It was 13 days of no classes(including weekends). My semestrial break vacation was full of fun and excitement and filled with laughter because of my friends and enemies that is so naughty, cheerful, joyous, kind, nice, humble, and understanding. In the other side its boring because in often days I’m just staying at home watching television, playing video games (like frozen throne, counter strike, Left4dead) playing computer, eating a lot of foods playing with my sisters and cousins and daily update in Facebook. Even though it’s boring I’m still happy because of my best friends who cheered me up and never forgotten me no matter what, and no matter how long time that we don’t see each other. Then the all Saints day approached and we must visit our passed away relatives in the cemetery but I was unable to go, I was so tardy that time and I’m full of laziness but in the second day of November I realized that I must go there because it is a sign of respect to our dead relatives that are buried there. When we arrived we hired some people to clean the grave of my grandfather (tatang) it was so dirty and there was so many weeds around the grave and we cant even see the words that are engraved there. After cleaning the grave, we all come together and eat our snacks that is prepared by my tita. I’m so full because of the suman we ate and the dendelot. When we got home we are all tired, so we all go to sleep and have a rest for us to be ready for tomorrow. When I waked up in the morning I realized that I have been so proud of myself to what I have done yesterday and I feel happy about…
