Hand” tried to kill Mr Franz Ferdinand. The first attempt to kill Franz was during his tour around Sarajevo. A mysterious man named Nedjelko Cabrinovic a (Serbian nationalist) threw a bomb towards Mr.Franz’s vehicle. Luckily the bomb only hit the back of the car and did not harm Mr.Franz Ferdinand himself. After this incident the cab driver that he was taking continued to take Mr.Franz Ferdinand to his destination but, sadly ended up taking a wrong turn. This wrong turn brought them to a stop at a local deli in Sarajevo. At this local deli Mr.Franz Ferdinand and his wife meet their fate. At this local deli a man that goes by the name Gavrilo Princip shoots Mr.Franz Ferdinand and his wife. Gavrilo Princip was a 19 year old man who was apart of the conspiracy group Black Hand. It had only taken two shots to kill Mr.Franz Ferdinand and his wife. The first shot hit his wife in the abdomen and the second shot hit Mr. Franz Ferdinand himself in the neck damaging a jugular vein. This was the start of The Great War. On July 5th the last German emperor Kaiser Wilhelm the second gets a letter from Austria-Hungary’s foreign minister and Francis Josef delivered by a man named Graf Von Hoyos.
In result from receiving these letters Kaiser Wilhelm then offers Austria-Hungary a “Blank Check”. This blank check was a promise from Kaiser himself full support of the German army. Austria-Hungary was pleased to hear the good news from the German emperor so then they give the Serbian government a final offer. This offer consisted taking down all propogandas toward the Hungarians, help destroy terrorist groups, allow Hungarians officials in Serbia to watch over political actions, and etc. The Serbian government took note of these request but could not accept the rules of this offer. Then on July 28th 1914 exactly one month after the murder of Franz Ferdinand the Austrian empire declares war upon the Serbian Army. As the Austrian empire declared war upon the Serbians, Russia then joins the battle. The Russians had made a deal with Serbia that if Germany attacks Serbia that the Russians will provide support in promise that Serbia will annex Bosnia. Four days later on August 1st Germany declares war against the Russian army. At first Germany warns Russia to not interfere with the war as they mobilize a few troops but Russia being allies with Serbia cannot stand and watch. As Russia disregards the German’s warning they continue to mobilize their troops Germany begin to mobilize all their
troops.
