Most schools have a set of expectation that they center their school around. One essential expectation for the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester is having outstanding faculty and administration, as they put a lot of effort into ensuring that the faculty at the school is what fits their standards. Schechter does this so our teachers will inspire us to follow in their foot steps of getting a great education while establishing close relationships. Pictures 1,9, and 16 represent the standards that Schechter has for their teachers: their teachers must be able to make good connections, and relate to the students at Schechter, as well as having degrees from elite schools.…

It is sometimes said that thoughts develop into actions. I disagree with this statement. A person must always have thoughts and ideas before doing anything, however, without deciding to act upon the thoughts they remain merely, thoughts. John Ruskin sums it up well in this quote: “What we think, or what we know, or what we believe is, in the end, of little consequence. The only consequence is what we do.” What Ruskin means by this is people can think or believe whatever they want and it won’t amount to anything unless they make the decision to act upon it. And if they do not act upon their thoughts then they are irrelevant and amount to nothing. I strongly agree with Ruskin in this idea. This is because I have seen way too many people conjure up incredible ideas and plans, but never act upon them, causing the amazing idea to go waste. On the contrary, I have seen rash, extreme beliefs actually acted upon and the horrific aftermath that was left in the wake.…
Locke argues that the mind at birth is a ‘tabula rasa’ – there are no innate ideas, which Locke defines as ideas present in the mind from birth.…
Essential the thoughts were concepted in a similar notion. Being intuitive about your surrounding and come the realization of an idea and taking action on it, not just letting it simmer around in the brain and eventually becoming nothing than a forgotten memory or regret.…

According to Ilana Moss (2009), “The mind is a tricky thing. Some say the mind is a result of electrical activity in the brain. Others believe the mind exists outside of the body and affects the brain, causing the electromagnetic activity that we can observe with technology. Either way, the mind is not something we can point to and say, "There it is"!” Dr. Candace Pert (Weiss, 2001) states that, “our bodies don 't exist to carry our heads around, any thinking has the whole body participating.” This means every aspect of thinking has our entire body included in the process. “Pert explains that each neuron in the human brain has hundreds of thousands of receptors. ‘Receptors are proteins, and these receptors literally vibrate and constantly change shape.’ She continues: ‘As more peptides were discovered in the brain, more were also found in other systems of the body. Therefore, the body-soul connection is actually physical. These receptors wax and wane depending on how much bombardment they get. They 're in a constant state of loud chatter.’" (Weiss, 2001).…

From the beginning of the third meditation, Descartes seeks to establish the existence of God using his initial concept of self awareness. Descartes argued that because he thought, then he lived. Thinking ability at this time was linked to being alive and thought that there must be a god who puts the thoughts in his mind. In his quest for indubitable truth, Descartes came up with the theory of ideas, which classified those things that he considered distinct and clear to be true. Descartes argued that the idea of god should be coming from within him since he cannot experience god himself directly or find any perfection in himself.…
Human beings are highly evolved and exquisitely complex systems. They involve not only an outwardly obvious physical form, the body, but also the mind and spirit, less clearly defined subjects. Body, mind, and spirit can theoretically be separated into parts, and each of those parts further separated for the purposes of study or description, yet they are intimately connected for all practical purposes. The interplay between the three is constant, and what affects one, affects the others.…
Well I dont fully know, its mainly values and thoughts that ive collected and made in my mind while growing older. Many things probably come from my dad hes a great man with alot of good values and he helped shaped who I am today. My mother also taught me alot of good values and also helped shaped who I am. I definitely can't give all the credit to them I have to give some of it to my friends to they have great ways of thinking and are very great people. Thats not all though alot of these ways of thinking come from me and thoughts I think in my head of how the world should be.…
Our brain functions to make the other parts of our body function; it tells them what to do and how to react to certain stimuli. For that reason, the mind is a vital part of a person, any damage done to it could cause death or a life not worth living anymore. But with the importance of our mind comes its similarities to a playground. Whatever your age, you may be an infant or a fully grown adult there will always be a playground inside your head, the mind, where ideas play and fully develop. The usual rides you could see on a playground, there you can experience on your mind also. Ideas swinging back and forth, over and over again confusing you on what to do, not knowing what it is you should choose but will then realize that there’s no more proper place than stopping and deciding. A slide, an idea appears to be at the peak of your attention, you think about it day in and day out and then with just a matter of time it goes down flushed out from your memory. An idea goes round and round your head like a spinner on a playground making kids dizzy while for you, your head starts to hurt. Like a seesaw, some ideas just tend to rise among the others because of the priority we set or the weight we exert.…
