Associate Degree in Business An Associate’s Degree in Business can help lay a solid educational foundation for students that have an interest in business career. An associate’s degree in business will introduce students to the principles of business management and focus on the core business subjects. The benefits to an associate’s degree are that there are many programs offered online, which makes it affordable for both the employee and employer. The online courses also allows the employee to work a full day and still obtain a degree, all while not jeopardizing the productivity of the company, due to someone being gone.
Possible employee motivations for seeking this degree are that the student will have the basics of business down and can acquire a job in their chosen field and have the basics down which allows them to go right to work, and learn the way things are done at the place of employment. One other big motivation for an employee is that having a degree in today’s job market is a must, if you want to find any sort of decent paying job. Employers will look at people that have a degree over others, for the fact that they feel this person has the drive and dedication to put 100% forth to complete a degree program. Salary is also always a great motivational tool for the employee.
There are many careers that a graduate with an Associates of Business degree can obtain. A graduate with an Associates of Business degree can go into human resources, finance, entry level managers, architectural design, industrial management, etc. A student may have to start at the bottom and work their way up the ladder. I feel that it makes for a better employee to work their way thru the ranks of a company, this allows them to learn the ins and outs of the business from the ground up.
