4th-ENG I 1/31/16 Remember Me
I chose to do my project on Tupac Shakur, because he is one of my many inspirations. He was mostly known for his music and making the term “Thug Life” famous. He was also known for his acting abilities. Additionally, Tupac was an advocate of creative arts, a supporter of the Black Panthers and contributed to several charities.

Tupac is instrumental, because he spoke about real things that were happening in the world. He also cared about people and the community. For example, he contributed to the Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopez Foundation and “A Place Called Home.’’ He opened people’s eyes about the problems in the black community that happened in the

He had the number one album in the country during 1995 called ‘‘Me Against the World.” During that time he was also signed to Death Row Records. He acted with Janet Jackson in Poetic Justice and he was also in Above the Rim as Birdy. He produced his own music video called 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted. He also wrote poems. One of his poems is called “Liberty Needs Glasses.”

He wasn’t all about his music, acting and poetry. After receiving a letter from the parents of Joshua a very ill young dying boy whose last wish was to meet him. Tupac flew to Maryland to meet Joshua and took him to a basketball game. Soon after hearing of Joshua’s death Tupac renamed his publishing company from Ghetto Gospel Music to Joshua’s Dream.

Sadly tragedy struck. On September 13, 1996 Tupac Amuru Shakur was shot and killed. But even after his death he is still celebrated and greatly missed. There has even been a hologram created for the late rapper in his honor. They used the hologram in two-thousand and twelve for a performance with Dr.Dre and Snoop Dogg at Coachella. He will always be remembered by his music and his other great

Tupac, or 2Pac was an African-American rapper who had sold more than 75 million records worldwide, and was considered a hip-hop legend throughout his career. He was born on June 13th, 1971 and died a very tragic death on September 13th, 1996 . His death caused much sparkness to occur as of who it was that killed him, not of how he died. A lot of factors played in during his death, and considering the complexity of the murder, it was hard to tell if the death had been staged, or if it was all an act. Although, considering the circumstances, rivalries, and suspicions it can be concluded that Tupac Shakur was killed by the Crips gang, and that he isn’t alive in spite of the rumor that states that Tupac is still alive, or that his boss Suge Knight killed him.…

I had watched a documentary, based off of the infamous rappers and their start up in the music industry, titled Tupac and Biggie where I got information on both sides. To begin with both rappers had similar upbringing for instance, were born in the state of New York, Tupac in Harlem and Biggie in Brooklyn. However, Tupac did move around growing up to Baltimore, Maryland in 1984 and finally to Oakland, California in 1988 by the age of 17. Biggie had more of an interesting beginning, unlike his soon to be rival, he had been raised by a single mother who was a teacher and had lived in a 3 bedroom apartment, not how he claimed on his song ‘Juice’ as a “one-room shack”. Meanwhile, Tupac was also raised by a single mother, however had been a part of the anti-government group the Black Panther Party, which would later be a foundation to his rap verses on political stans. Like most rappers they both would have a rough upbringing, and Biggie would start drug dealing at the age of 14 to help support his family, till discovered musically. Interestingly enough, Tupac had an interest in acting and attended performing art schools and create his passion for poetry, turned later to rap rhymes. Tupac was the…

According to a web article called “Tupac is Alive (and Probably Living in Cuba): A Conspiracy, Explained” written by James Parham, rapper Tupac Shakur was never shot and killed on September 13, 1996. He believes that the world’s most known rapper is not dead and is hiding out in Cuba. Parham states his claim saying quote, “So, my theory: Overwhelmed by fame and seeking "happiness again" (as he yearned for on "So Many Tears"), Tupac faked his death and fled to Cuba to stay with his aunt, Assata.” He claims that there are many questions surrounding Tupac’s alleged death. Parham suggests questions based on a picture that was published after Tupac’s death. The picture was supposedly taken the day after Tupac was shot…
