Yes, there are individuals who hold racist resentment toward one group or another. But most civilians view racism as an archaic theme of the past. As society tries to move away from the dark racist beliefs of the past, the Black Lives Matter movement is fighting society in a wild attempt to drag us down. Black Lives Matter doesn’t want equality for the colored civilians. They want to separate blacks from whites. If blacks and whites are viewed as equal, as they should be, the colored people won’t receive free stuff from the government and they won’t have anything to blame when things go wrong. Thy do not respect themselves enough to step out and work for their own money. Johnson tried to end black poverty. In doing so, he ended the future for many black citizens. But, a mistake made by one man can become a triumph to us all. Racial prejudice lurks like a virus in our society. But it isn’t whites vs blacks. The mainstream racial prejudice is black vs black. Black Lives Matter activists fear a life without the government to help them along. They fear the responsibility that would fall on their shoulders if the government withdrew from their lives. So, they turn words and actions of a few into weapons and wield it against us “evil hateful whites”. There will be a day when the wounds that have been lacerated into our society have been sewed up. But it will only come through understanding, care, and hard work. I hope that our country believes in the future, works in the present, and learns from the
