Purpose
Monitors activities at construction job sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Inspects construction site daily and works with contractors to schedule deliveries
• Demonstrates understanding of standard concepts, practices and procedures within construction field.
• Interprets designs and drawings for crafts Installing materials and quantifications.
• Researches & resolves drawing interpretation problems, conflicts & errors.
• Prepares field design change requisitions and "as built" drawings, as required.
• Prepares and disseminates all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work Items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc. to supervisor.
• Verifies that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings & specs.
• Reviews and comments on viability of design as required.
• Conducts value engineering functions.
• Attends meetings to coordinate design & construction efforts.
• Provides necessary building control lines & elevations for accurate measurement & correct Installation of materials or equipment.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawings & specifications, building materials & required standards applicable to discipline.
• Observes construction work performed in the field.
• Creates and processes RFl's and proposes solutions.
• Participates in job walks and documents findings.
• Understands company's quality control plan and takes weekly photos to document any quality control issues.
• Researches and proposes solutions to quality control issues.
• Possess the ability to identify PCO’s
• Generates queries and reports in Prolog software.
Skills / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.
3-5 years field experience or in a related area of expertise
