Introduction
TVS group of companies is name synonymous to social consciousness, quality and commitment to the welfare of underprivileged rural citizens. This report analyzes the various corporate social responsibility services of the group done under the umbrella of Srinivasan Services Trust (SST) in light of the documentation provided.

Specifically, we cover how SST practices strategic CSR, how it is organized in order to execute the various social projects, where it gives, how it gives and how the Trust maximizes the value of its philanthropic activities.

How does SST practice strategic CSR?
Based on the reading material titled “Strategy and Society”, the below section analyzes how SST practices strategic CSR in the various rural areas of the country. They involve in a multitude of social projects that tackles a broad spectrum of social and developmental problems faced by the citizens in these impoverished areas.

Points of intersection between TVS group and the society
Since the group’s primary companies such as TVS automobiles are heavily manufacturing oriented, there is a need for lot of trained labor. But since the factories are usually located in remote towns and villages, the group doesn’t have ready access to such skilled labourers for their operations. Thus, they have natural motivation to empower and train the villagers so that they can pump their operations with the skills honed by the SST and at the same time provide for a better life for the residents of these towns and villages.

The magnitude of the social issues such as education, training, healthcare and infrastructure like road and transport are so high that SST cannot deal with them alone. Therefore, they partner with the government as required and help with executing the projects.

The group’s primary strength is the professional management and expertise in quality control. Therefore, they are able to lend their managers and supervisors to execute the projects without any
