The Prodigious Roaring Twenties
Everyone knows that the roaring twenties was the decade that so many things happen. Some of those things were intentions, new entertainment, styles, behavior; even bad things took place in the 1920s. Some of the great inventions we still used today were invented in the 1920s. Young men and women all over America were changing the style and coming out with new trends. Also young men and women all over America started to change their behavior and become rebellious. Bad things started to happen like the KKK rises up and starting to take over. Not to mention how the 18th amendment was installed and alcohol was no longer allowed. Women were still living unfair lives then as well.
In the 1920s great inventions were made like insulin, talking movies, lie detectors, medicines and traffic signals. Insulin was made for diabetics so they can regulate the amount of glucose in their blood. The insulin was invented in the year 1922. Before 1924 television was only watched not heard. Then when the talking movies came out everyone all over America were going to movie theaters to watch and listen. This became a real popular hobby in the roaring twenties. In the 1921 John Larson invented the lie detector which is something we use today. Different medicines to cure people were invented. Also, those wonder traffic signals that you have to be caution of when you drive is another thing that was invented during the roaring twenties.

Young men and women would go to nightclubs and do dances like the jitter bug, tangos camel walks and even square dances. While the new dances appealed to the youth they were not so popular with the older. This was partly due both to the nightclubbing and parties that were the venues for the dancing, and to the style of dance itself. New toys were coming out for the children and house cleaning supplies
