I. Sampling
: a procedure for obtaining a random sample
Goal
Estimate characteristics of a fabric by testing a few pieces(specimens)
Estimate is more ACCURATE if specimens chosen RANDOMLY
** Randomization : each element has the same probability of selection as does every other element
HOW accomplish random sampling?
1. Obtain a sample

Source of a lot sample
B. Lot sample
A portion of material taken to represent a production lot.

Go and forward but it stops. It doesn’t continue on
