BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
The emergence of a second generation web development and design that include communication, information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration, Web 2.0 , an expression made in 2004 by web-business mogul Tim O’Reilly, have led to the development of web based communities, services and applications such as social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs, mashup and folksonomies.1

Social networking sites are where people share common interest such as hobbies, politics, or religions. If you have access to a social networking site, then you can begin to socialize. These socializations may include sharing knowledge, reading profile pages of other members and possibility contacting them. Sites like MySpace, Friendster, Facebook, FriendFinder, Twitter, were just a few of the social networking sites that are commonly visited by the users.
Social networking is the ultimate user generated content or UGC that holds a vast potential growth than other form of content on the web. It is transforming the way information is relayed to the user. Information does not rest on the hands of a few content creators, media distributors or marketers but now the consumer is the creator, consumer and distributor of content.
Video blogging, blogging, podcasting, mobile phone photography, wikis and forum comments is an extremely valuable UGC. Examples like YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, Wikipedia, StupidVideos, Flickr, Blogger, and personal Web pages, among many others. In Untraceable (2008), a video site is used by a serial killer to posts live videos of his victims on the Internet. UGC is the new way to reach the audience,
