With the environmental factor, I will be able to associate obesity with the food security in our modern society that causes pressure for food intake. Then, I will continue on to discuss how people in the United States are blind to portion control and how to get the most food at the cheapest price. These practices cause an increase in food intake. People have increased their snacking habit and are having fewer structured meals. Snack foods are usually high in calories, are processed, and easy to access. To measure body fat, the authors used the visual appearance test, a body density test in water, body imaging, and an anthropometry which is the test used by most people.
