Problems encountered during data collection:
Getting some questionnaires back from people via email took a while and then I had to write them out which took some time. Also most people don’t know how much water they use so some questions were left unanswered. People didn’t have enough time available to answer because environmental issues are not important to everyone. Some people didn’t want to fill the form in and replied verbally and I filled it in but this gave time to talk about other issues too which was interesting.

Has the validity of the investigation/research been justified?
Water is a need (not a want) so it is essential to life and therefore important to us. We cannot solve a problem unless we know what it is and the extent to which it affects us. Posts on social media about the water supply in Umdloti need to be investigated. To prevent these issues happening again it is important to learn about these problems otherwise they can occur again. It is always good to do thorough research before you give a conclusion or solution so that you make sure you completely understand the background to the problem and the problem.
