While caring for my patient I was interacting with her so she can feel comfortable as possible, she even told me I did a good job at caring for her and she does not have anything bad to say about me, hearing those words made me blush and even boost my self-confidence. Over the past few months, I have seen a growth in my self-confidence before when I now started doing clinical at the hospital I was quite nervous to meet and communicate with patients but now I’m more relax and confident. Moreover, from my understanding I believed that uncontrolled hypertension due to my patient not taking her medications as prescribed caused her to be diagnosed with left bundle branch block, congestive heart failure and venous insufficiency, however, these diagnoses lead to another. For instance, congestive heart failure is when the heart is unable to pump blood throughout the body which leads her to be diagnosed with venous insufficient hence, she have poor circulation in her feet and that’s the reason for her feet being discolored. To conclude, I incorporated Hildegard Peplau nursing theory when I was caring for my patient by building an interpersonal relationship with her and educating her why it is necessary for her to take her medications. If this situation arose again, I will continue to treat my patient with quality
