Understanding DNA
Have you ever wondered how you got red hair or blue eyes? Well all that has to do with your genes. To have different genes you have to have a deoxyriboncleic acid or DNA for short. Without Dna everyone would and everything would look the same and that would make life really confusing. Your DNA has a very important role in life. Its most important role is to give everyone character. Every Dna chromosome is made the same according to species. They are made up of two strands of Nucleotides, which go up like a spiral stair case. Each nuclieotide includes three parts: the phosbate, Sugar molecule, and one of four bases which are the adenine, cytosine, guannie, and thymine. The sugar/ phosbate bonds form the double back bone of the molecule ( the hand rells of the stair case), but we find the genetic key to DNA is the steps of the stairway ( the nitrogen containing bases). These bases link up using nitrogen bonds in a very specific way. Adenine will only link up with thymine ( A to T). While Cytosine only bonds with guannine ( C to G). While these basic pairings never change; the order varies tremendously based on the species. In this basic design it shows how nature gives instructions how to build all basic organisms. In my project I’m showing just how important your DNA is and how your DNA is made up. In my model of DNA you see a humans DNA. If everyone had this on DNA we would all look the same and no one would really know who was who. I am thankful that we all have different DNA because I like a variety of looks and I like to be different. So basically without different DNA we would all be
