1. Bentley Motors Limited

Bentley Motors Limited is a British manufacturer of luxury automobiles founded in 1919 by W. O. Bentley. Having a rich heritage of 90 years, it is one of the famous manufacturers of ultra-luxury automobiles in the automotive industry.

Bentley Motors is well-known for distinctive design, refinement and prestige. With the mission statement of “To build a fast car, a good car, the best in its class’’, it is dedicated to deliver high-quality, thoughtful and attentive products and services to Bentley lovers.

With years of development, there were 176 Bentley authorised dealers around the world at the end of 2012. In the same year, the global sales volume of Bentley was grown 22% to 8,510.

2. Logo

In the initial stage, Bentley’s original logo was a Capital letter B with rear swept wings at either side. Likes ford’s original “winged script logo”. Now, the logo of Bentley Motors is a “winged B”, which is a Capital letter B inside a pair of wings. The wings were a reference to the speed and early racing success of Bentley automobiles, as well as Bentley’s early years as a purveyor of airplane engines.

Depending upon the variant of a specific vehicle, Bentley will change the color of the background behind the B in the logo (red & black being some of the colors that come to mind). They refer to this as "labels", and the color of the label is supposed to denote specific characteristics of the model variant.

Both Bentley and Rolls-Royce is the best hand-made luxury car, British manufacturer and they all have the Royal Blood. The reason why I choose these brands to compare is they divided to two companies from 2003. In 1998 to 2002, these two brands are managed by both VW and BMW. From 2003, VW owned the Bentley Motors and Crewe factory, BMW owned the Rolls-Royce Motors and relocated the factory to Goodwood (Cowell, 1998). Bentley has the truly legend craftsmanship and became the Royal-official-car instead of Rolls-Royce (Cupler, 2012). Then it began to expand the producing capacity and also the models, it has new design for every models but continue hand-made. It keeps step-up in ECO area, created the mobile apps for cars and still focused on sporty-luxurious cars in the future (Volkswagen Annual Report, 2011). Rolls-Royce lost its legend craftsmanship and relocated the factory, but it hired new craftsmen to keep the quality and new design for every series. It also focused on exclusive driver training and electronic luxury cars in the future ( BMW Annual Report, 2011).…

Supercars have mainly advanced through engineering, styling, and performance. “Since the 1960s, many supercars have come and gone, but many have left their mark on the supercar world for their breakthroughs in engineering, styling and technology. Notable models have included the 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo, with its rear-mounted, turbocharged engine, still found in many supercars today. The 1987 Ferrari F40, one of the most extreme supercars ever made, was the last car commissioned by Enzo Ferrari himself, and relied on its aerodynamic shape instead of power for speed. Most recently, we 've seen the 2005 Bugatti Veyron, the first production car in the world with more than 1000 brake horsepower, and the current benchmark for power.” (ehow. Demand Media Inc.)
