While the share in Quebec, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Ontario rose just about 3%, it surged in British Columbia, doubling the rate of 4.5% in 2001 to almost 11% in 2006. The number of oversea graduated students in New Brunswick also grown considerably, from 7% to nearly 12%, and remained the highest in the country throughout 5 years. The only exception is the decreased trend saw in Alberta, where the rate dropped 1% to 4.8%, making it the least favorable provinces for international students in the 8 provinces in 2006.
