Landscape of Beautiful Idaho and showing what they can do best for the country. I chose this picture because I believe that this ad shows Union Pacific’s Railroad that they can bring helpfulness to the Community and also deliver goods to others around the area. In the mid-1800s, the Union Pacific Railroad was when it all started. “Under the act of
Congress approved under the entitled Pacific Railroad Act of 1862 which started by Abraham
Lincoln” (Wiki). “Most of the men that was working on building the railroads were Irish
Americans that needed to find work” (Wiki). “The railroad's current traffic mix includes: agricultural products, such as whole and feed grains, fresh and frozen goods, and ethanol; automobiles and auto parts; chemicals, such as fertilizers, soda ash and crude oil; energy cargo, and including coal”(Union) In Idaho, most of the resources they shipped in their homeland was
Wood, lumber and minerals. (Willmarth) In the mid to late 1860s, “The first Line joined in Utah
Salt Lake City Extending to Ogden Idaho, which is approximate of 50 miles long.”(Wiki) “There was a financial crisis in the early 1870s but it didn’t get bankrupt”(Wiki) “The company was recognized As Union Pacific Standard Railroad in January 1880. “The corporate headquarters of the Union Pacific located in New York until Drew Lewis became CEO and then the headquarters relocated it to Bethlehem Pennsylvania.”(Wiki) The ad shows during the time of the post Idaho was one of the fewest places that Started building the railroad. in the 19th Century and the founding places. Idaho was transferring goods all the way to Utah during the early period.
During that time airplanes and jets were not invented yet and they had to rely on trains as transportation. (Wiki) The ad was made to let people know what Idaho represents and what it’s all about. In the background it shows The Massive hills and the country side with the men on the right hand corner riding horses. In addition, deliver the goods to others around the area. The ad was made in the early 1890s because Idaho has a bunch of woods and forest around the area so they made the tracks accessible on the mountains near the rivers and other places. Sometimes
Pacific railroads use to transport people from city to city to help the travelers out on the journey
It was another way of getting around the area quicker. Cars were not available during this time so the only way of getting to one end to another is getting on a horse or a train. The Union Pacific
Railroad started to build railroads but the expansion took a lot of time to go to other States in the
United States of America. During the 1800s the only places they had around the Country was
Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and California. Mostly in the Pacific Coast Of the country.(Wiki)
The Union Pacific reached a new railroad town of Cheyenne in 1867. After Building more than
250 miles of tracks around the country. Cheyenne became one the Main Places and became the main hub for transportation for goods and Services.(Wiki) the railroad established towns along the way: Fremont, Elkhorn, Grand Island, North Platte, Ogallala, Sidney, Nebraska as the railroad followed the Platte River across Nebraska territory and then After words the Mormons and Pacific Railroad company joined in together to make a track that Leads to Utah a Mormon state.(Wiki) A business man named Jan Richard Hearer called this one the Most advanced technological in the 19th century by far than anything in the Planet(Wiki).
but he also Explains that the deposition of a million dollars in government bonds led to a congressional Hearing shows weakness of accounting methods.(wiki) The company had to design new methods for
Accounting stocks dividends and bond discount so they can set a new standard.(wiki) This ad showed that they want to show there state off what is looks like to be In Idaho and there scenery. Compared to a states in the east coast where they are many People that live in major cities. They believe that living in Idaho is the way to go due to the Beautifulness surrounding all around Which the east coast does not Offer to the civilians that live there. I would defiantly buy most of their products they ship to Idaho such as there “Famous Idaho
Potatoes”(Willmarth). Now they do not make their own products but they transfer products from other manufactures. I desire there product because they support transportation for civilians from one part of the west coast to another and they help deliver goods and materials to other states.
Compared to eastern states they have to rely other ways for transportation
goods.
