RE: You can upgrade the office computers.
Good afternoon,
I received your message this morning regarding the possibility of upgrading your computers. For me to answer this question correctly, I need to know the type of remote access, security, type of access to remote files. However with the information given, there are several ways to solve this issue. If you desire to keep this system in place, you can increase the bandwidth of the server in order for the server to work more efficiently. Secondly, you can invest in Windows 7 Professional which is used by small to medium-sized businesses. It has a basic collection of management features, as well as the ability to join an AD DS domain. In addition, it has a network-based backup. The network-based backup is the remedy for backing up windows servers. Furthermore, it allows your employers to work more efficiently. Your backup can be stored in any type of media because the program allows backing up to FTP/ SFTP servers, local and external drives. Thirdly, if you want to update your system, you can update your server to Windows Server 2008 and invest in Windows 7 Enterprise. This version of Windows will provide your company with a useful feature such as BranchCache. The BranchCache feature is designed to reduce the wide area network bandwidth utilized by branch office file sharing and provide branch office users with faster and more reliable access to the offsite files they need. Branch Cache is a buffer that stores data accessed form a slow medium on a faster medium. (Windows 7 Configuration Pg. 10). Either of these remedies should work.

We also need to make sure that it will be able to handle the 32-bit version which is the version that will be most suitable for the current specs that have been provided. With all that said it will be a great pleasure in upgrading to the new Windows 7 professional edition upon further review.…
