Consider how these three topics are intertwined and influence one another.
Does having certain sexually transmitted infections predispose some mothers to health complications during or after pregnancy? If so, can these complications contribute to the demand for abortion?

Are the recommendations applicable globally? Is the universality of a solution something that needs to be considered? Will the committee’s suggestions establish precedent?
Judge the appropriateness of responding to the issues of gender and sexual health in Latin America, especially within the greater global context.
In the past, how has the international community reacted to Latin American abortion legislation, sexually transmitted infection spread and preventative/reactive programs, and domestic violence protections?
Review past actions taken by the international community in addressing these issues in Latin America.
What cultural factors, if any, need to be considered when determining the appropriate response to the issues surrounding gender and sexual health in Latin America?
Contemplate what cultural sensitivity and awareness are required to understand and solve the issues.
What solutions have worked in other countries in addressing these issues? How would they work in a Latin American context? What made these solutions successful elsewhere, and what warrants improvement?
Consider what individual countries or regional blocs have done to combat these issues within their own borders, with or without international
