The gastrointestinal tract starts with the mouth, which leads to the gullet via the stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and ends at the anus. Enzymatic reaction is known as digestion and this is defined as the chemical breakdown of the ingested complex food molecules by the action of biological enzymes, into simplest form that can be absorbed into the blood stream and assimilated into living cells. In human beings, various components of the ingested food are digested and absorbed at various sections of the alimentary canal .…

George is a 14 year old boy who attends secondary school. He is extremely overweight and obesity among children can disrupt their physical development and have an impact on their social and emotional wellbeing. The fact that George is overweight may mean that he struggles when doing sports activities at school, which could result in him being teased by his classmates, leaving him embarrassed and self-conscious. Also getting changed on front of his peers may embarrass him which could result in him not wanting to take part in PE, affecting his health even more. George may then prefer to stay at home instead of going to school and being ridiculed, resulting in absences and then falling behind at school. Obesity can also affect the onset of puberty especially in boys as hormones get affected and slow down the male development. This again could lead to teasing and bullying, result in low self-esteem and even depression.…

People are getting terrified and sad because of all the shootings that are happening in many different states. In the article “Famous Speeches: "We call BS," Emma Gonzalez's speech to gun advocates”, by Emma Gonzalez it talks about how all of these shootings are going down but it is not always the victims fault and the shooters in Florida do not need a permit or a gun license which is not safe. In the article “Issue Overview: Guns in America”, by Bloomberg, talks about how there are many deaths every year in many different states and how guns have spreaded tremendously throughout years. Shootings happen numerous times and that is either because they are depressed or something got into their head but many people think it is wrong to go around…

A variety of texts and articles over the past few years have argued for the use of an alternative approach to teaching organizational behavior, one that emphasizes experiential learning. This approach "emphasizes an existential, emergent view for learning organizational behavior" (McMullen, 1979), where the role of the instructor is that of learning facilitator, responsible for designing experiences for students to base learning upon, rather than as teacher, responsible for lecturing on theory and concepts. While gaining wide acceptance, this approach has nevertheless created problems in the assessment of students' performance. Significant learnings in this model of teaching occur not only from the development of concepts, but also from the experiences themselves. McMullen (as well as others) has proposed the use of a personal application assignment to help solve the problem of performance assessment. This assignment is based upon the experiential learning model formulated by Kolb (1971). This model is discussed in more detail in the text chapter on learning styles.…
