Individual Project The most compelling topics I’ve learned in Intellipath so far would be “Active Learning”,“Asking For Help When Needed” and “being An Adult Learner”. The active learning process was a little easier to understand because you are able to learn new things and with others which is called interacting. The problem I have is asking for help when I need it because I don’t want to feel like I’m not smart like the others so I kind of feel ashamed to ask for help. I like to try to do things on my own for the first time and if I don’t understand it still then I will ask for help. Being an adult learner is the most compelling because the instructors are helping us students and adults become more aware of our personal growth and change that may help us on becoming more successful in our goals, future , and study of course in our career. Im always up for learning new information that will impact more on my growth mind-set I have because I am a very open minded person. Completing the Intellipath helped by reading, participating on the example questions and the quizzes to improve on my learning styles. It also helped me understand the strategies of the concept. It helps me to work on tasks that are more challenging for me and hard to understand and get the strategy. The kolb’s learning style is still a little unclear to me because It challenges and enhances other learning styles to develop more of a balanced approach to my learning styles. I can understand more better on how to use three approaches to learning which are Behavioral, Cognitive, Constructivist approaches. Hopefully, during this time period of attending AIU that these concepts would be more clarified. The topics that I would love to learn more about are “Building Self-Awareness”, “Stress”, and “Identifying and Setting Up Support”. By using these learning strategies: Repetition, Questioning, Predicting, Restarting, and Summarizing I would be able to become more successful on

I got the idea because my cousin and I were playing a game where you had to multitask. So that’s how I came up with the idea. I thought that the kids would be the best at multitasking because since all the kids are still in school they might know more. I conducted the experiment by first gathering my subjects and my materials. Then I explained to all of my subject what they were going to do, I started the experiment and wrote everything they did during the test. Finally wrote all the data on the data table. The result was adults were the best at…

They sailed over from England, all seeking glorified opportunities. These English colonists sought out an opportunity when boarding ships and leaving the Old World to travel to the exciting unknown; but each person had their own unique desire. These unique desires led to the many diverse societies that spread all throughout the eastern sea board of the New World by the 1700’s. Religious tolerance, organization in government, and economic stability were all contributing factors to the differences New England and Chesapeake Bay regions had.…

While different ages are momentous in the United States, when a person turns twenty-one it seems as if the person is definitely ready to enter the real world. A twenty-one year old step’s into the real world of grownups, accounting, and a legal drinking limit. A twenty first birthday is very special, as is someone’s sixteenth and eighteenth birthday. Both poems by Samuel Johnson and A.E. Housman demonstrate a person turning twenty-one, but both poems demonstrate different views on how the speaker and the audience feel. “To Sir John Lade, on His Coming of Age” is about the speaker telling his audience on how he feels about finally turning twenty-one. “When I Was One-and-Twenty” describes a young adult listening to an elder or someone they look up too about their new age. Both of these poems have a condescending or rude tone while they either talk or listen to the advice that they are given.…

To accomplish my goal of personal growth and development, I will make sure that by the end of every course I take I will have a full understanding of the subject matter. This is where I will take advantage of the learning teams that are offered in conjunction with individual learning. The way I look at the learning teams is that they are there for me to learn and share experiences with my peers. If there is something that I do not fully understand, I can in turn go to my learning team for the answer. If I cannot get the answer from my team then I will go to the instructor. I will not stop until I have a full understanding of what we are studying. My learning will be easier if I apply what I learn on a day-to-day basis. This will occur when I apply what I have learned in the workplace, helping me master and apply the knowledge that I have learned.…

I personally see the process of acquiring knowledge and understanding is complex and subject to much discussion among all of those engaged in education. However, the educationalists understanding of how students learn has improved considerably in the past couple of decades. It is now established that students are most effective in acquiring knowledge when they use a range of cognitive processes, including asking questions, using knowledge and being shown principles for solving problems, and conveying understanding of complex issues to others. Effective learning goes beyond the memorisation of facts.…
