Step 4
Thesis: 100% UDSA organic food is the healthiest and best food for consumption. 1. Organic food is free of most chemicals such as pesticides and antibiotics that are present in most non-organic foods. A. Pesticides such as insecticides are used for controlling and killing insects that lay eggs; one study was shown to have 30 pesticides on a regular looking apple. B. The world’s industrial disaster, The Bhopal disaster, took place early Dec 1984, in a pesticide plant in India. An estimated 3,797 to 15,000 people are believed to have died from the gas leak; over 500,000 injuries have been reported; over 2,000 wildlife perished. The leak was caused when water entering a tank filled with methyl isocyanate (MIC); the water caused pressure to rise thus causing a severe leak. C. The effects of pesticide human consumption: mild skin issues, tumors, some birth defects, cancer and even death. 2. Non-organic food is proved to be cloned and full of science! A.
GMO stands for genetically modified organism. The general molecular genetics techniques are used to create and experiment with slicing and dicing DNA into whatever is chosen. The method is commonly used for creating pharmaceutical drugs, agriculture and experiencing with medicines. Glofish, a genetically modified organism, was created using ordinary zebra fish embryo inserted with jellyfish DNA. The fish normally black with white strips now is a fluorescent bright color. B. Another very popular chemical used for the last decade in non-organic food, rBGH recombinant bovine growth hormone), also known as rBST (recombinant bovine somatotropin). This harmful chemical is used as growth hormones to incite cows for dairy products such as yogurt, milk and cheese. The Food and Drug Administration chooses not to disclose the labeling of this chemical on your products. Cows that are given this product have a fifty percent increase of develop leg and hoof problems; one quarter of them develop mastitis, and most often have animal reproductive problems. C. Dairy farmers are now treating cows that have mastitis with antibiotics that end up in your milk and residue may lead to serious allergies. Over time, the exposure to such antibiotics causes the body to build resistance and causes further issues such as breast, prostate and colon …show more content…
cancers. D. Young females exposed to hormones such as rBGH have an increased chance of starting puberty earlier, such as 7 years old. The average age to begin puberty in the 1990 was 12 years of age. Scientists say this may be caused by foods, chemicals and estrogen in plastics. 3. Taster and more nutritious would describe 100% USDA Organic food, in comparison to non-organic foods. A. Organic food has all minerals and the taste proves it. “According to the legal definition, organic food is food from plants and animals that is produced without the use of synthetic fertilizers, artificial pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, growth hormones, feed additives or genetically modified organisms (GMOs).”(Whyeatorganic.net) B.
This means that when you purchase organic food with the official sticker on the front, you are buying REAL quality food. Your chicken taste like real chicken and doesn’t have additives what so ever. C. Non-organic food is artificially, chemically, synthetically and genetically produced, so most nutrients aren’t present.
