In this assignment I will describe the requirements for health and safety in Greenwich community college; this means that I will describe how Greenwich community college ensures that they provide certain things in their business that are required for their employees in the workplace.
Requirements Reason it’s required
Temperature The temperature should be reasonable for indoor workplaces. There should be a sufficient number of thermometers provided to allow checking temperature. The reason that this is required in the workplace is because if the workplace is too cold or too warm employees will not be motivated to work. This is why in Greenwich community college there is a reasonable temperature, there are also thermometers in the workplace.
Ventilation Must be effective and suitable to ensure a sufficient quantity of fresh air. The reason that this is required is because if all workplaces need an adequate supply of fresh air. The reason this is required is in Greenwich community college for employees who work on a desk or office natural ventilation will be required which will be enough to control dust and vapours from cleaning materials.
Lighting Every workplace such as Greenwich community college should have sufficient lighting. For example in Greenwich community college the computers have enough lighting but if the person wants to change the lighting they have an option form dark to light.
