Support assessment for learning “Asssessment for learning is the process of seeking and interpreting evidence for use by learners and their teachers to decide where the learners are, where they need to go and how best to get there.” Assessment Reform Group 2002

For this unit, your assessor will need to see evidence of you planning and carrying out ‘assessment for learning.’ He/she will need to see you encouraging pupils to look at their progress against learning objectives as well as their own personal targets. It must give feedback to pupils to enable them to move forward in their learning. It should identify the standard of work currently being achieved therefore providing the teacher with information about progress to date.
