Unleash Your Emotions
Unleash Your Emotions

What are emotions? In simple words, they are feelings triggerred by certain 'happenings' in life.
Emotions make us different from the average 'zombie' - it makes us human.
Jokes apart, everyday we go through a myriad of emotions ranging from the subtlest to the most obvious and these emotion however good or bad make us who we are.
We think we go through hundreds of emotions, little do we realise that these are just teeny tiny variations of the basic 9 emotions.
They are bhaya rasa (fear), Rowdra rasa (anger), Hasya rasa (laughter), Karunarasa (compassion), Bhibatsya rasa (disgust), Veera rasa (courage), Adbhutha rasa (surprise), Shantha rasa (peace), Shrungara rasa(love).
All these nine emotions together are called NAVARASA (nava=nine; rasa=emotions)

“Fear makes us feel our humanity.”
When asked about their most fearsome moment, 85% of people shared their various glimpses of death while the other 15% shared their encouter with the dean (Eg: caught while throwing paper-balls to a frizzy haired girl).
In order to act to your best you must learn to conquer your fears, because one that runs away from his fears is only creating a shortcut to meet it.

“Anyone can become Angry. That is easy. But to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose and in the right way... that is not easy.”
How does it feel to be betrayed or even maybe when you get the most terrible, frightfully awful haircut possible?- "Rowdra Rasa"!
Anger is crucial though when nurtured can do you more harm than the person it was intended for.
Most problems can be worked out (unlike maths) by getting to the root of it. (L'oreal style)
Fought with your chuddi-buddy? - Talk (Scream if necessary) - Sort It Out - Make Peace!
Problem solved!

“Laughter is the best medicine.” (unless you are diabetic, then insulin comes pretty high on the list).
That awkward moment when you're laughing so hard, no noise comes

As a human being, anger is an unavoidable emotion. It is close to impossible to control other people’s reactions, but how you control your reactions depend entirely on you. George Jean Nathan said, “No man can think clearly when his fists are clenched.” Meaning no person can make the correct decision when they are being driven by their anger. It’s difficult to handle strong emotions, but it takes an even stronger person to learn how.…

The role emotions play in humans lives is significant because it gives meaning to our life experiences. Positive emotions can give people more confidence while also boosting their self esteem and giving them a more positive outlook on life. On the other hand, negative emotions can be painful or lead to bad decision making, but they can help one grow as a person. However, both positive and negative emotions can influence human’s thoughts and actions, giving us motivation to persist toward some kind of goal. This goal can be something big and inspiring such as climbing up the social ladder like McCourt or something that everyone can relate to such as combating negative emotions the way Frankenstein’s monster or Shelley did. Humans can share their emotions through the words they say, the actions they take, or the things they create such as literary works or works of art. The poems, novels, movie, and song discussed were created by people with different cultural backgrounds and through their work, it is possible to see some of the differences between western and eastern culture. Even so, they share something in common which is the portrayal of emotions and its role in human lives. No matter where emotions might lead us to in the future, no one can deny the fact that emotions are an irreplaceable part of us that make humans…

Today, many psychologists agree with his theory about emotions being universal and basic, and they use almost the same techniques and event stimuli to study emotions. In fact, in 1972 psychologist Paul Eckman suggested that there are six basic emotions that are universal throughout all humans. There are many theories of emotion, but three of them are perhaps the most commonly discussed. They are called the James-Lang theory, the Cannon-Bard theory and the Schachter-Singer theory.…

Emotions are personal experiences that are hard wired into every single human being on the planet. Yet, somehow people seem to have little control over them. After studying all the different kinds of emotions people can feel, I did a three day inventory of the emotions I experienced. In this paper, I will discuss how hard or easy it is to identify emotions and the methods I used to identify my emotions. I will analyze the types of emotions I felt and whether they were primary or secondary. Were they the typical emotions I experience every day? Do I give in to any emotional fallacies? How freely I express my emotions and what I have learned from doing this exercise.…

Releasing emotions can bring a soothing calmness and relief, and one will be able to be to manage their emotions by expressing them without ease. Challenges we face have different solutions and routes that should be taken. Releasing anger in some circumstances won’t solve the problem at hand, so depending on the situation we are faced with we have to decide whether or not we should stand up for ourselves, or walk away. Although walking away and being the bigger person is the safe route, attacking problems head on will be more effective.…

Of course, not all frustrations lead to anger. Indeed, it is more common to accept frustration, the blockage of our wants or goals, as feedback suggesting that we adjust or alter our aims. We do this automatically, hour by hour, day by day. Frustration signals the error in the trial-and-error process by which we dialectically adjust our perspectives to external powers and potentialities. To live, to assert one-self, is to be hindered, to face difficulties, to be opposed.…
