Sociological Analysis
From the respective viewpoints from and within the Jungle by Upton Sinclair and the poem Chicago by Carl Sandburg, we can evaluate the differences between the externally affecting thoughts of the ignorant, the oppressed, the oppressors, and how the caused behaviors affect conditions in societies. The fictional facets of Upton Sinclair’s 1906 depiction of Chicago and the same of Carl Sandburg’s 1914 depiction catalyze the larger theme of ever-present human sociological interactions.
