I want to participate in the “Upward Bound Project” program, because I want to experience college life. I also want to explore post-secondary education options so, that I can be prepared my during my senior year. While enrolled in the program I want to travel to different places, meet new people, and explore different cultures.     I know that admission into the Schreyer Honors College is not necessary for me to gain study abroad and internship opportunities, however, I am aware that these are hallmarks of many Schreyer Scholars.     The Honors Program grabbed my attention because it’s for academically outstanding students and I am that student. Throughout my years of high school, I have taken Advanced Placement and Honors classes and have done very well in them.
