Urban life and Rural Life
There are three notable difference lifestyles between urban areas and rural areas in Tokyo. They are degree of resident friendliness, city space, and variety of available activities. Live in city, life moves very quickly.
People usually live in apartment with many different strange neighbors. And also people have many public activities choice to spend their free time. But life in country, it is really opposite to city. In the country, life is much slower. People feel more relaxed and no stress in there. They live with neighbors who know each other and group up together. In fact, they have much more free time, but their activities are limited. Although these two areas are not similar, also they have belong to their own unique characteristics.
From my own perspective, first I agree with author. But I think it is really hard to say which is better than the other, urban life or rural life, because each has its merits and shortcomings. For me, my hometown is a large city in China. It is a tourist city which are many places of interest. Although the city life rhythm fast, pressure also pretty big, but it give me an easy and comfortable feeling. Now I am living in a town in America. I can breath fresh air every day. I think the big problem is the transportation. It is not convenience. If I want to go shopping or go to market, I just drive a private car to there. But people in there is very kindly and enthusiasm.
However, you live both in these two areas, you can enjoy their different feeling. I believe you will like it sense so much.

There are many differences between living in the city or in a country setting, but the country setting has many more advantages over the city. The air and water quality and other environment factors are improved in the country setting. The school system is safer and less crowded in a rural setting. The roads are not loaded with traffic and taxis. The country is safer than the city and crime rates are lower. In the country, there is an abundance of trees and vegetation. In the country, there are parks and open spaces, and there is a variety of wildlife to observe. Life in the city is challenging, but it provides many opportunities unlike country living. There are many activities taking place around the clock. Shopping services are convenient and close, which offer anything a person could want or need. It is also a good place in case an emergency was to occur. Hospital, police stations and firefighters would be easy to get in touch with. The city life provides many advantages of a modern society, but it carries a heavy cost. For example the housing and food in the city are expensive. Another major advantage of city living is public transportation. Transportation is always there, but it gets expensive when you take a taxi to and from work every day. We have all heard of the term “downtown", which is all the entertainment in the city such as clubs, restaurants, and other major social events. In the city there are many more stressed people. All of these things take a huge toll on one's body over a period of years. Another huge problem in the city is the air is polluted. The opportunity to relax in the city is most likely to never happen ,if you lived in the country you can relax whenever you would like.…

There are many distinct characteristics that allow us to easily differentiate between rural and urban areas. Urban areas have a high (concentrated) density because it contains high amounts of people in small areas, and vice versa for rural areas. With this information, it can easily be inferred that urban areas create greater noise, but with greater job opportunities as well as using more resources. Therefore the prices rise and there is a greater chance that supply can’t compensate for demand, which then leads to things such as poverty. Urban areas also contain incredibly large amounts of human-created structures and there are a lot of different means of transportation to get around. These things help to develop problems such as health hazards, one example being smog which is a big problem in high-dense cities. With all the people, there are greater birth rates, death rates, and crime rates. Not everything is bad though, such as commercial areas being close to residential areas and easy access to needs such as healthcare and food. Driving or owning a car is not mandatory if everything around you is close, which is the case for some people. For myself, I can say that I am almost in this situation, because my parents don’t drive to work, but we need cars for other activities. On the other hand, rural areas are basically the exact opposite of urban areas and also have their ups and downs.…

Many families and individuals find themselves at some point questioning the advantages of city living versus country living. It is nearly impossible to find a good answer to this question. What is good for one person might not be good for another. Some people enjoy the busy, hyper active metropolitan city where they can use all amenities and have unlimited opportunities for work and leisure. At the same time, other people feel the urge to be closer to Mother Nature, relaxation, beauty, and peace. They take pleasure in living in the calm and peaceful environment of the countryside and spending their free time fishing, hiking, picking berries in the woods, or playing in the creek. In my opinion, the nature of urban and rural life style and the effect it has on people is the most important difference between living in the city and living in the country. I feel fortunate to have grown up in the rural area. I would never trade my memories of playing in the creek, riding four wheelers, or climbing trees all within a short walk from my house. Health, education, and transportation are three major concerns that need to be considered. While city life can bring more opportunities in these cases, country life can provide the best of both worlds.…

The layout of the city life is much more modern in style than the farm life. Usually, the scenery in a city is of high buildings, loud, and not as green, but it does offer more conveniences. City life is better described as being at a faster pace, and having peer pressure along with work pressure. In the city, there are a big variety of universities, colleges, schools, museums, theaters, and markets. These days people usually prefer the modern lifestyle. People in the city tend to give their everyday needs the same priority as their materialistic desires.
