Usain Bolt was born in the simple town of Trelawny Parish on August 21, 1983. His father was a grocery store owner, and his mother stayed at home and took care of him. At an early age, Usain was diagnosed with hyperactivity and scoliosis, which is a spine condition where the spine is curved sideways. Bolt is 6’ 5” with black hair, and dark brown eyes. He has a brother named Sadiki and a sister named Sherine. He loves local food, and considers yams as his driving force. Usain Bolt’s top speed is 27.8 mph, and he is sponsored by Puma, Mumm, XM, Kinder, Advil, and Sprint. His net worth is $34.2 million. Usain Bolt’s speed was first noticed by Reverend Nugent, when Usian Bolt had no lunch and was hungry. Reverend Nugent offered to give up his lunch if Usain Bolt beat the fastest kid in school in a race. Usain pushed hard and won the race. Ever since then Usain’s talent was noticed. As Usain Bolt entered the junior world championships, all of Jamaica was behind him. Only 16 years old, he eased down the final stretch and broke the Junior World record with a 20.13. Now ready to enter the Olympics, Usain entered Beijing with twinkle toes. He easily broke the 100m world record, 200m world record, and 4*100m world record. The 4*100 meter world record was taken away as Nesta Carter was found to be doping. The as he entered the 100m final in Berlin the next year, he blew away the world record with an astonishing 9.58. A couple days later, Usain Bolt destroyed his 200m world record with a shattering 19.19. Talk now began about Usain breaking the 9 second and 19 second marks. As he entered London, the crowd loved him, and he was already recognized as the world’s fastest man. Easing into the 100 and 200 meter finals, Bolt destroyed the field. Bolt felt as if this was his ticket into the Hall of Fame, and a couple days later, “In an interview with CBS News, Bolt detailed his pride over his 2012 performance: ‘It’s what I came here to do.
