RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
In determining the feasibility of the proposed business, the researchers indentified the components of the methodology of the study. This includes research design, research locale, population and sampling design, research instrument, data gathering procedure and data analysis techniques.
Research Design The descriptive research study will be used to determine the acceptability of the proposed business. Descriptive research involves gathering data that describe events and then organizes, tabulates, depicts, and describes the data collection (Glass & Hopkins, 1984). Descriptive research designs help provide answers to the questions of who, what, when, where, and how associated with a particular research problem. Anastas (2008) said that, It is used to obtain information concerning the current status of the phenomena and to describe what exists with respect to variables or conditions in a situation. The researchers considered the descriptive research design in order to identify the profile of the respondents on things such as gender, age, status, occupation and income. Through the descriptive research the feasibility of the business and the profile of the competitors can be described.
Research Locale The researchers chose the upland part of Cavite particularly Alfonso and Tagaytay as its research locale. The area was considered because the researchers saw the potential customers for the proposed business.
Population and Sampling Design For gathering quantitative data, the researchers used random sampling.
One of the best ways to achieve unbiased results in a study is through random sampling. Random sampling includes choosing subjects from a population through unpredictable means. In its simplest form, subjects all have an equal chance of being selected out of the population being researched. Through random sampling the researchers will be able to get a result throughout the upland area showing their interest on the
