Using Animals in Research Shouldn’t Be Forbidden
USING ANIMALS IN RESEARCH SHOULDN’T BE FORBIDDEN Nowadays, many scientific researchers use many animals for their experiments, which has become a very controversial subject among scientists, government officials, and citizens. Differences of opinion have emerged on this issue over time in the world. Although some people who are generally animal right activists argue that animals shouldn’t be used in scientific researchers and this should be totally banned, others don’t agree with the some idea for the sake of human life. In my opinion, using animals in scientific experiments shouldn’t be exactly forbidden for humanity and science. To begin with, animals should be used in research for human life. Every day, thousands of people are saved from painful diseases and death by powerful medical drugs and treatments. These incredible inventions of medicine wouldn’t be possible without animal testing because animals are similar to humans in terms of common genes. Scientists observe to find out how new drugs and virus affect animals by using them in medicine researches and animal reactions can help predict how humans will react to a substance. For example, treatments for cancer and HIV, antibiotics, insulin for diabetics, and vaccines have all been developed though animal research. Without animal testing, the development of these products would have required extensive human testing. As a result, if new finding chance on humans rather than animals or the experiment was never done, this could cost in human life because we don’t know what the outcome would be. Secondly, using animals in research shouldn’t be forbidden for science. When a new technique tested on something which should have common genes, this research would be a scientific experiment at that time. A non-scientific invention or research without evaluating and trial will not serve to people because their lives can run a risk. However, something should be produced or

Do you ever think about if you are against or in favor of animal research? Animal experimentation is disputed because some people are favor and some are against. Animal research is used to discover those diseases that are without cure and to give the answers to the scientific community. Additionally, the animal experiments begin in ancient Rome and Greece. In the United States all pharmaceutical companies need first to experiment with the animals before humans. Nevertheless, without animal experimentation many of the most important advances in modern medicine would never have occurred. These experiments are important because scientists need to make sure that medicines are as safe and as good as possible before doctors give them to people and to discover more about how the medication works on human bodies.…

Animals have been used in medical research for centuries. In a recent count, it was determined that 8815 animals were being used for research at MSU, 8503 of them were rats, mice, hamsters, and gerbils. The strugle against animal research has been one of the most debatable issues of the decade. Even though most researchers need to do experiments on animals in order to achieve medical advances, animal research should not be allowed because it is cruel and inhumane, it is not always accurate, and often unnecessary.…

Should animals be used in scientific experiments, it is a very controversial statement. Therfore that is why I picked the subject for my research paper. Today, tens of millions of animals are used each year in federally and privately funded experiments. An estimated 90 percent of all animals used in research are rats and mice, though many other species are also used, including guinea pigs, dogs, cats, rabbits, nonhuman primates, and farm animals. Although there are laws set to protect animals, these laws usually exclude the animals being tested upon. The Animal Welfare Act(AWA) is the only federal law to require basic standards of care, housing, and treatment of laboratory animals. However, the AWA excludes birds, mice, and rats bred for use in research, who represent approximately 95 percent of all animals tested. "Animal experimentation is not necessary. It is expensive. It is inaccurate. It is misleading. It consumes limited resources. And further, it is detrimental to the very species it professes to be working to help -- humankind."Dr.s Ray & Jean Greek.…

According to some national statistics, nearly two-thirds of all animal research has little or nothing to do with curing human diseases or advancing human medicine. Animals testing prolong the suffering of people waiting for effective cures by misleading experimenters in the wrong direction, and wasting resources that could have been spent on more relevant research. Humans and animals may have brains, hearts, lungs, arteries, kidneys, and so on; but animals bodies are made up differently. Dogs for example, they walk on all fours; humans do not use four legs to walk. So to do an experiment that deals with animals legs compared to human leg would be a wasteful matter, dogs legs are formatted different.…

I support animal experimentation for the fact that scientists who are trying to find cures and treatments have to experiment on something rather than on humans. Animal experimentation serves to our benefit and without it our advancements in medicine and in treatments would not have been possible. Animal experimentation, animal research and animal practice all generally mean the same thing. One may be more familiar with the term animal testing. Animal testing has been a controversial topic between supporters and the adversary for quite some time, but animal testing is wrong, even if it helps find cures for illnesses. Between all the strong public opinions, hefty fines and likelihood of the tested drugs working on humans, it is best if animal testing comes to an end. Animal testing came to scientists back in 500 BC by Greeks. It has always been such a controversial topic, because of the harm that comes to the animals. Proponents to animal testing say that animal research is beneficial. They say that numerous life-saving treatments…

There are some good things about animal testing; however, there are way more cons when it comes to using animals for research. Yes, animal testing has lead to many life saving treatments, but there are other testing methods that don’t require animals. Humans often make the misconception that we are genetically similar to animals. Animals are drastically different from humans, so they are very poor test subjects (Mieke). Drugs are required to pass a test before they can be used on animals, yet most drugs that pass the test are harmful to the test subjects (Mieke). The cons overcome the pros of researching on…
