Utkarsh has worked under my direct supervision since August 2012. We meet three to four times a day to discuss the progress and problems faced in different assignments he handles. Apart from work, we play badminton together every day.

Utkarsh’s performance has been outstanding at both technical and managerial levels for which he has won the best employee of the substation award twice.
He is an excellent team player and strongly believes in developing skills of his team members. His key strength that sets him apart from others is his ability to assess weaknesses of his subordinates and take relevant steps to help them overcome those weaknesses. He has developed a dummy-simulator of the substation to provide practical trainings to his subordinates. He has also initiated a monthly training program to keep his team updated with new technologies used at substation.

Prior to being posted at our substation, he had handled the operation and maintenance of other substations as part of his training. Still, because Fatehpur substation is one of the most important substations of PGCIL, he lacked little confidence to handle the operation and maintenance works. He would discuss with me everything before implementing it. This was resulting in lower productivity so I advised him to start making even bigger decision on his own and told him that he had my full support even if something went wrong.
