That is their choice, but many do not know the consequences if they do not vaccinate their child. It all starts back where it begins with the children to build a strong community immunity. Many say that vaccines put kids lives in danger because they are dangerous. For example Barbara Majeski of Princeton, N.J., says, “The flu is not a deadly disease”, who doesn’t want to get her two kids vaccinated. When in fact the flu kills estimated 20,000-30,000 people a year (“Requiring”). People also can decide whether or not to vaccinate their children based on medical exemptions. People say it causes allergies, and even more sickness since the vaccine has a dead virus in it. I think it is just the thought of it that people don't like and that's why they don't vaccinate their children. The fear of side effects is a big problem too, the worst side effect is a migraine. It's important to vaccinate children early or it will be a very cautious, and harmful way to where the child doesn’t get sick. Actor Robert De Niro and his wife have a child who has autism. They feel that vaccines cause autism which is a “side effect”. “I have a child with autism and we believe it is critical that all of the issues surrounding the causes of autism be openly discussed and examined”, said “Robert De Niro” (Graaf).
