Validity Evidence-Based Testing Methods
A teacher's mission is to impart knowledge and develop student's thinking. To measure a student's mastery of a subject, teachers used different testing methods to gauge how well the students understand the class lessons. One of the most common form of testing is providing graded examinations. The score earned by the student will serve as a reflection of his or her knowledge and understanding of the subject. To guarantee the effectiveness of the examination in measuring the student's knowledge, a teacher must verify the validity of the result of the examination. Teachers and aspiring teachers can use either of the three types of validity evidence ( content-related, criterion-related, and construct related) to ensure that the examination results will provide a clear reflection of the student's understanding and knowledge of the subject.

The content-related evidence validity is the easiest to apply amongst the three validity evidence type. Content-related evidence validity refers to the extent an examination covered all the important knowledge and skills that the students need to learn as per the curricular aim. Compared to criterion-related, and construct-related validity, this evidence style focuses only on the test results relationship to the knowledge of the students and the lesson covered in the exam. There is also a similarity between construct-related validity to content related validity as both shared the need to verify or consult with another teacher or subject matter expert to ensure that the exam questions meets the aim of the exam. In my experience as a tutor, construct-related validity has helped me in ensuring that the mock exams that I create for my students focus on measuring their skill for a particular subject only so that I can provide a valid assessment of their strengths and
