Descriptive Essay
Vancouver.
I have always found Vancouver an interesting place to be. The city itself is so diverse, you just never know what to expect when you go there. The first thing you notice in Vancouver are the sights, then the sounds, and finally the smells. No matter where you go there will be a new sight to see, a new sound to hear, and a new scent to smell. The city is so vast with large buildings, all the noises from people and different objects, and the scents from all around the city. When you first enter Vancouver you notice all the cars driving, trying to go places quickly on the bridges, streets, and the highways. The cars honking their horns as their stuck in traffic surrounded by other types of cars, trucks, busses and the the lines on the pavement keeping them where they are. When you enter downtown Vancouver you see people walking all over the sidewalk and crossing the crosswalk trying to get to meetings, restaurants, and malls to shop in their infinite stores. You'll also see the police, ambulance, and firetrucks lights rushing to the emergency. The next thing you'll notice are the sounds of the city. You'll hear the people walking past, talking on their phones or to each other and you'll hear the buster on the side of the street singing or doing whatever to get some money. The beeping of the crosswalk signalling for you to cross the street. The screeching tires stopping so you can cross, the roar of the engine when it's time for them to go and honking their horn when they take to long to drive. As you walk downtown you'll hear the construction of a new skyscraper being built. The sirens of the ambulance, police, and the firetrucks. The rain pattering on the umbrellas while the airplanes and helicopters fly above you. When you go to Stanley Park you only faintly hear the sounds of the city but you'll also hear the dogs barking, the waves crashing onto the cement wall, the wind
