“Varjak Paw” Book Talk

“Believe something is impossible,’ said his ancestor calmly, ‘and you will surely fail. But believe in yourself and you can do anything.”

The Book Varjak Paw by S.F. Said is about a young cat named Varjak who is from a family of purebred Mesopotamian cats, though feels left out of it because of his eye color. If it wasn’t for his grandfather, Elder Paw, he would completely feel like he didn’t belong at all. Elder Paw tells him stories of his ancestor Jalal, and how skillful and god-like he was.
Then one day, Varjak is told by Elder Paw that he will have to bring a ‘dog’ to help save his family from a strange man, who continually comes to their house after their owner has vanished. Varjak is put down by the rest
